So looks like the pictures, feels small, but to my 2 year old it's a huge set. As the title suggests, it hard to open all the compartments. That's good or bad depending on your opinion...I even struggled. My little one likes to open and close things on her own and is a bit frustrated with it since she can't independently play with it if it's closed. But once it's open she's in hog heaven. I wish the pots were a bit bigger, I mean it's $25, give a little more glitter goo for a kid to smear on their cheeks. The powders are actually pretty nice and have actual pigment to them (see the "mermaid" makeup example). It does come with some little sponge brushes but I bought a cheap set of brushes and silicone brush holder to round out the makeup experience. ... show more

My 5 year old really enjoyed this makeup kit. She’s packed it on over and over again with no irritation or skin issues and it washes away easily. Good variety of colors and products for the price; I was happy with it!
