I have a set of water based markers but wanted some lighter colors for shading flower stamped images for cards. The pink in this set is as dark as the pink in my old set. The colors don't match the colors on the caps at all. I wasted my money on these markers.

Pros: 1. Two different fine tips on these markers allow for precise coloring and for writing in color. The finer 0.3mm tip best for writing or doodling, but not very good for coloring. The 0.8mm tips are great for coloring small areas. See my photos. 2. Nice sturdy covers that don't fall off. Cons: 1. Limited colors for a 12 pack: -4 of the twelve colors (coral pink, peach pink, honey orange, and chrome yellow) all look like orange. -3 of the colors are shades of blue. -There is no marker that looks like yellow -there is only one shade of green. 2. The colors of the markers themselves are also misleading. 3. The colors are much more intense than I expected them to be considering they are called "Pastel." See my photo. 4. They did bleed through in the coloring book I used them in. 5. Expensive compared to buying a set of 12 markers at a store. ... show more

I bought these after my favorite artist on YouTube, Jazza, recommended the brand. I did try to use these to color with out of curiosity. They didn't do well, but that's not why I bought these pens. They are vibrant and almost blend. I love pens because I enjoy journaling and writing. If you read the description, these pens are meant for WRITING NOT COLORING. If you want to color, find some nice alcohol markers that cost more with good reason. I already bought the black calligraphy pens from this brand because the pastels were so nice.     • Okay product but not worth the money
I absolutely love all the colors! They are all Super cute. Its good product and none of them were dried out. The super fine end worked great I just wish the other end was thicker. I was looking for more of a highlighter thickness and I thought this had a brush end but it’s just like a thin marker. You can’t get your lines very thick. Not exactly what I was looking for and a little expensive cause I feel as if I could get the same quality for a cheaper price. Again they aren’t a bad product at all they just aren’t that special. And just FYI they don’t bleed through paper but if you’re using notebook paper then you can definitely see what color you used on the other side. ... show more

If color is the most aspect to you, then you can’t beat Tombow! Every color stands out! Hands down the best. The only thing to really watch is the medium you use them on… thinner paper will start to break down with more than one layer

This is my first time trying them out and they are definitely vibrant - not pastel. I do like them for the price though and many people are saying they are getting streaks. I did as well but you just have to add a little drop of water and it blends itself. Good for coloring if you know how to use the marker and don’t overwork the paper since it is water based. ... show more
