Description

These opaque felt tip markers can write on a variety of surfaces including plastic, metal, wood, glass, plaster, canvas and more. Paint can be scraped off from nonporous surfaces like glass, etc. but will adhere permanently to porous surfaces such as wood, paper, etc. Water-based pigment ink is non- toxic, lightfast and waterproof. The ink won't bleed through paper (unlike alcohol-based markers) and is excellent for vibrant signs and craft work.

  • Awesome!
It had been a long time since I last used these markers, but I’m glad to see that even after years, they’re still great! All the markers arrived in perfect condition, the colors blend very well, and the acrylic paint dries very quickly, so you won’t have much time to mix them. The paint quality is excellent and solid, with vibrant and bright colors, making them perfect for what I need! I’ve seen people complain about the longevity of each marker, but it’s important to remember that it’s acrylic paint, so you can’t expect them to last for months if used extensively. Of course, it depends on how you use them; they’ll last longer or shorter accordingly. Can’t be compared to Sharpie markers; I’d say they are closer to professional alcohol-based markers for artists like Copic, which release a greater amount of ink, causing them to run out just as quickly. I use them for details in my drawings, so they tend to last me quite a while. Even so, I’m considering buying more markers in other colors to expand my collection. The tip length are great, and are easy to use. ... show more

  • Amazing Paint Markers – Just Wish They Lasted Longer!
I absolutely love these Posca paint markers! The colors are vibrant, they apply smoothly, and they’re perfect for so many art projects. My only wish is that they’d last a little longer – I find myself wanting to make them stretch, but they run out faster than I’d like. Still, the quality makes them worth it, and I keep coming back to them for the amazing results. ... show more

  • LOVE 'em, and not made in China
We've now purchased 2 brands of acrylic paint pens this summer... these (Posca, made in Japan) and Betem (made in China). They've been a huge hit! Originally purchased for the kids to paint lake rocks as much as their hearts desired, we found the adults sitting down with the kids, using the markers almost as much! It also creates an easy kids-adults interaction environment, which is helpful when they perhaps don’t already know each other well (as at a family reunion). So all in all, great!! Poscas were great in every way – they wrote on glass (we had some wine glass decorating going on – let the paint cure for a day or two), and the colors were vibrant. They don’t have dual tips like Betem (meaning broad at one end, fine point at the other) but you can achieve fine, broad, or anything inbetween easily via pressure applied and angle of the pen. The kids had no problem mastering that. Betem had more colors and were considerably less expensive, but the Posca’s 12 colors were certainly sufficient – you just might have to wait your turn a little more for the color you wanted. While both brands were a big hit, if you want to write on glass, get the Posca brand – Betem states they write on glass but our experience was that they absolutely do not. Last comment -- these make for a good rainy day activity as well, but you might want to put down paper or such first. We created acrylic paint spots and smears on a picnic table and deck, which isn't a big deal in that kid-oriented outside area, but it's a consideration for some locations. ... show more

  • Really good but not refillable
Good flow and opacity. I only wish there was a way to refill these.

  • Great for painting/drawing on wood
These are really great. When you first get the paint to come down onto the tip of the marker, it is a little bit heavy, so you need to use it on practice paper or wood first before you use it on the place you want it to use it. But that said, once you get that done it works great. I paint and draw on wood and it works great for that. It is more opaque than a lot of the other paint markers I use and I really appreciate that I don't have to draw over the same thing over and over in order to get the paint dark enough. These are really fine points and it can be used to draw think lines, but you can fill in other parts that are not just lines but bigger areas. I would not say that you would want to use it to fill in big areas, but for something that is between 1-3 square inches it would be totally doable. ... show more
