I bought this bag for my daughter for her 11th birthday. She loves it. Bright, colourful, all her tokidoki favourites. It's big enough to carry all her school work as well as her lunchbox and water bottle. The bag itself is very well made, strong stitching - so not about to fall apart in a hurry - and all in all comes across as a good purchase. Very satisfied. My daughter, however, wishes the inside lining wasn't such a bright pink. She's not into pink so wishes there were other lining colour options like turquoise or blue. But that doesn't make it any less than what it is - a great, hard wearing school bag for tokidoki lovers young and old. ... show more

Tough solid canvas like material keeps this backpack together in solid form. The zipper has yet to give me any issues like I've seen in some reviews but it does feel kind of small for a backpack this size. Other than that it's exactly what you get in the picture and stylish af.

The quality is about what I'd expect for a genuine Tokidoki product at this price point. It is, however, a nice option for someone who loves the Tokidoki prints but isn't willing to shell out well over $100 for a backpack. The backpack is completely no-frills and basic construction. It's unlined and has no reinforcement on the bottom. There is only one small pocket other than the main compartment and there is no double-zipper, either. No water bottle holders or small compartments inside for organizing. I got this for my 6 year old daughter because she loves the cute and colorful feel of Tokidoki prints. I really only expect it to last her the rest of the school year, at most. She is lucky enough that her school has hanging hooks and she hangs it at home, so it never sits on the ground or floor and is generally well taken care of. I definitely wouldn't consider this for someone who is hard on their backpack! It took some getting used to for her since her previous backpack had more features, but she absolutely loves this backpack anyway. Expect fashion, not function, in this backpack! Update: my daughter has been using this backpack for school for a little over two years now and it’s still going strong! I’m sure it helps that she hangs it at school and at home and does not overstuff it, but even with that care, it has exceeded my expectations. ... show more

    • This book bag is awesome! It is a little thin
UPDATE: So after about two months of use, the zipper went off track. There is only one zipper tag on the book compartment which makes this very difficult. It’s fixable, but if goes off track very easily now. You have to zip and unzip verrrrry slowly to keep it alighned. My daughter was VERY disappointed. The material has held up, so she is going to use the bag for sleepovers, etc., but it definitely is not sturdy enough for school. I am downgrading the review from 5 stars to 3 stars. :( This book bag is awesome! It is a little thin, but don't let that worry you. It has held up really well! High quality and stitching. Defective zipper won't even open more than halfway. I included a pic so you can see where the zipper track looks jacked up. It's a really cute bag but I don't have time to fuss over returning it just to get a replacement. Buy at your own risk. :(
