I bought this to keep my small, blind dog from falling out of the bed at might. The bedrail is sturdy enough to do that. My only complaint is that the light does not hold enough of a charge to last through the night, but that is secondary.

This is our first toddler bed rail, and I absolutely love it. We are family of six and the last thing I want to worry about when we are traveling is a kid falling off the bed. Hotel rooms and sleeping in a different place can definitely be scary for my kids and having this little rechargeable nightlight makes them feel more at ease. Everybody bed is different so I like that these rails have an adjustable height. These rails work on a boxspring, but they also work on slats because it comes with additional straps to tie the rail down to secure it. The cover is easily removable and washable and the rechargeable nightlight comes out as well, which is a must when you have kids. Installation is easy and Railing is simple and clean. I had no problems folding up the rails and packing it in my luggage for last vacation. I definitely recommend this compact bed rail if you have a little ones. ... show more

I bought this for a trip. THANKFULLY it arrived the day we were leaving. My daughter does summersaults in her sleep. Turning 360 all night long. Which at home is fine, cause she sleeps in her toddler bed on the ground. But in a hotel. That can cause many problems and worries of her falling off the bed. So we knew we had to get something to keep her inclosed in the bed. After much research I decided to go with this one, because it can be folded up for easy travels. Which I LOVE, because this is not something we need to use daily and have on her bed. Just something portable that can be easily transported. But sadly I think just the design of it. I don't know if the hotel bed wasn't heavy enough or what it may be. But this railing would not stay in place. Literally her just pushing up against it the whole thing would fall to the ground. We ended up having to put our pack and place in front of it just to keep it in place. The second thing I did not like about this is that most other bed rails, have a longer railing that you stick into the bed, and then the boarder part. For this one, the railing part is nearly attached to the border part. (if that makes sense) so when you have it stuck into the bed. There is only about 6-7 inches at BEST that is sticking up to guard your child from falling off the bed. Which I ended up putting a few pillows by the railing. Because I wasn't sure if those few inches would even block her enough to not roll over it. All in All. This is transportable. It folds up easily. And has a cute little night light. BUT I wouldn't say that it really gets the job done. It slides out with the slightest lean/pressure on it. And because the railing is RIGHT next to the Border. There really isn't much border once you put it on. It certainly does not get the job done. Good idea. Poor design. ... show more

We spend quite a bit of time away from home and this makes us all feel better about him not falling out of the bed. The folding wings hold firmly when pressed against a mattress and really make it convenient when having to pack it up and carry (bags is a very nice touch). It can be screwed in or secured with the 4 velcro ties. He also sleeps on a mini loft at home and I like the extra security this provides (should he wake up in a potty panic) and forget to use the stairs. Works great. ... show more

This is a fantastic, compact bedrail! I love that it can collapse down into a carrying case. It's perfect for travel or the grandparents' house. It's easy to set up and breakdown. I also really like that the cover can be zipped off to launder. The quality of the material and construction is excellent, and it's sturdy. The other reviewer is mistaken; the height of the rail can be adjusted. I have a deep mattress and it can be adjusted to fit my 10" and 18" mattress. My only complaint is that the inner rails are not padded like the outer rail of the frame. When my toddler rolls into the rail it is not cushioned by anything but the cover. I opted for this travel bed rail as opposed to a regular one for ease of being it to grandparents and the occasional road trip. There are no included instructions and the QR code on the box gives an error message. Not the end of the world, but it did take me sometime to figure out how to raise it. It comes with a recharge nightlight and a place for it to go on the rail? I’m not entirely sure how it’s supposed to function because it also came with some magnetic mounting “hardware”. Regardless, nice little night as an added bonus. It folds up to a nice size, about 24”x20” , and fits nicely in a zippered carry bag with a handle. This is great for both traveling and storage. The rail itself self is decent quality, especially for being so light. It’s a little flimsy, but comes with 3 Velcro “universal” anchor straps. We are using our own to get around our larger slats. It also comes with screws to be screwed into the slats, but we don’t want to do that. I’m pleased that this is tall enough for our bed. Our mattress is about 1 foot deep and this extends up to that point and the side goes up another foot or so. I typically add pool noodles to the frames of these as well as between the side and the mattress so there is no room for slipping, but this doesn’t hold as tight as I’d need for this. Not a deal breaker. From what I can tell, there is no way to lock the sides in the open position, so these do move around a bit.
