This is a quality boot at a reasonable price. When I got it, that was the first thing that a noticed was how well made it was. I put them on and it was a little tight and somewhat on an effort taking them off. I take responsibility for that, see many reviews suggested you order one size up, I did not do that. I am a size 8 and going by the foot chart, I had what I thought was enough room inside the boot. Actually if they make half sizes I would have been ok. So my advice, go up one size, you will be glad you did. I had to return the size 8 for a 9. I should have listened to the reviews, I could have been enjoying my boots instead of waiting on a larger size ... show more

I haven’t been bitten by a snake yet so I can’t speak for that part but I can say these boots have been through hell! I wear a 11 men’s shoe size and the 11 in these are a perfect fit. After several months of working beaver dams, briars and sharp sticks they are still in good condition, some surface scratches and scuffs to be expected, pretty rough terrain I work in. I have feet issues and even after 6 hours in them they aren’t bad. I’d definitely buy another pair. I did tighten the back adjustment all the way in so they aren’t slapping my calf but as they broke in they weren’t as stiff. ... show more

The boots look very nice and comfortable. Unfortunately, one of them is black and the other one looks more like a light gray. :-/ We would like to get them changed for a pair in the same color, preferably both in black is possible. What are the steps for a return? Thank you. EDIT: Tidewide was very helpful and sent me another pair of boots with the right color. They made the process as smooth as possible. I used this as a work boot, it is great for weedwacking. The hard shin protector is great but it wears a hole in the crease after 5 months. I'm in a rainy tropical climate. I need to stay dry , this boot won't do that. It is a 5 month boot.
