Bought this watch for my 10 year old on his birthday and he loved it. The watch was easy to setup, it came with SIM card which was easy to install. Getting wireless service setup was easy too. It does what it is supposed to, easy to call with clear voice, has bunch of features which my kid is exploring. GPS tracking wasn't accurate in the beginning but is pretty accurate once an update was installed with the help of support team. I like the fact that parents can control with whom kid can interact. I received it and tried it. The app is very friendly. It is an unlocked phone watch which means you don’t have to purchase their phone plan. The voice is clear. The parent control is an extra point. When I set it up, my 4 yr old daughter can only call by pressing SOS.

I admit I was skeptical at first because of some reviews, but this watch has been amazing for us. I wanted my 7 year old to be able to reach us and vice versa while she would be at her summer day camp. The GPS has worked great. The talk to text functionality is super easy for my daughter to use. My husband and I have not had any issues with the app. I tested the emergency call function and that works as expected. Overall this watch is exactly what we wanted her to have and love that there aren’t any games or internet access. Nice to haves would be a less bulky design (but it may need to be bulky as a kids watch!) and my daughter doesn’t love the contrasting orange part of the band on her purple watch. She has no complaints about the functionality and neither do we. I even sold my friend on it and she bought her 7 year old son one the same day. ... show more

I have been looking for something that would allow my 9 yo to have a little more freedom while still being able to keep tabs & stay in contact. This watch checks all the boxes. The set up was easy & instructions provided along with QR scanning codes & videos. I love that I have to add the contacts & that texts (even an approved contact!) will be blocked outside of texting from the tick talk app. It's nice you can still call outside the app though. The call is clear, the video function works well. GPS is great- it locates off of the closet public hotspot so my child never shows up at home but one street over even though we are at home & connected to wifi. My 9 yo likes you can take pictures & customize it. The music is also nice but we can't figure out how to turn it off from using battery when you are done listening without shutting it off & turning it back on. We also purchased the charging base for ease of charging. My one suggestion for improvement might be a 2 band option- one shorter & longer as my child has to wear it on the very last hole. Overall, I've recommended this watch to others & very happy with the purchase & value for the money. I’ve been using this kids’ smartwatch phone for three weeks now, it's a good product for me and my kids. Two-Way Communication: The watch allows for two-way communication, acting as a mini phone. Kids can make and receive calls from a predefined list of contacts. This ensures that children can always reach their parents or guardians in case of an emergency. SOS Button: The built-in SOS button is a great safety feature. In case of an emergency, kids can press the button to send an alert to their parents along with their location.     • Nice upgrade from the TT4

Installation and setup went more smoothly with the 5 than the 4; the process has been streamlined a bit. Not happy that my kid’s pics didn’t transfer from his TT4 to the new 5. That seems to have not worked since the 4 quit working on us months ago, which is the second time the 4 quit. However, so far, enjoying the clearer graphics and more responsive touch screen. Hopeful that the battery life on this 5 will be longer as promised. Time will tell. Really love this watch as it allows my kid to go way out into the back yard and play independently but still be in touch when I’m in the house, which has been a big help during cancer recovery. The one issue which continues to irritate, however, is that location services are so glitchy. This should be an important safety feature but so often mis-performs that it can’t be. It routinely tells me my kid is in other states when he’s right here with me. As some other reviewers have noted, the band is pretty small so that it’s on the last setting for my 10-y-o’s wrist. When he hits his next growth spurt this is probably going to be an issue. Glad that TT now has plans which cover damage, etc. since the 4 quit on us twice. ... show more
