This is my second purchase of this light. I’m not a torch connoisseur, but I need a quality light for work, assessing the contents and equipment in tanks, flow channels, and such in a wastewater plant. Most of the crew carry SureFire, but it seems they go through batteries like mad. And every once in a while a light gets dropped in a tank. I wanted something less expensive and rechargeable, and something with a little…style. This seemed to fit my bill. The instructions said that the battery likes to be charged frequently, so I would hook up the USB cord after every shift. There was a time or two when I left the light in its pouch on my harness for a couple of shifts, and I could start to notice decreased performance, so I didn’t give the battery life 5 stars. Also, I almost exclusively use the second brightness setting. The lowest is too dim for my application. The brightest is great, but the case around the lamp will become hot after not very long. I only use that when necessary. My first has been dropped several times and been doused or smeared with goo more that that. It cleans up nicely and keeps on shining. I think I would prefer a rear switch to the side switch. The side is fine most of the time. If I’m not wearing thick gloves I can find the button without looking without difficulty. However, with any insulated gloves I have to look for it. I don’t use the clip. My biggest issue with the torch cam from the charging port. One day when I pulled the mini USB out, the metal socket that holds the plug came with it. The contact is still in place, which meant I could charge it if I inserted the cord just right and had no tension on the cord that would cause it to fall out. I ended up buying a separate charger for the battery and now I remove the battery after every shift and charge it out of the light. I dropped one star for durability due to this. I’m still using the original and keeping the second as a backup. Despite my issues with the light I like it enough to replace it in kind. ... show more

I purchased both the T15 v3 and the TN12 Pro and these are both awesome flashlights. However even though the v3 is newer I feel they really dropped the ball on things with it. 1- The TN12 PRO is definitely brighter despite being 400-500 lumens less. I tested this with both having fully charged batteries and on turbo mode. 2- The v3 only has the 1 button on the body to turn on the lights. The TN12 pro has the button on the body and the base button for turbo only. If they release a newer version and correct the light output and end cap button then it would be better. 3. The belt clip is backwards and more of a pain to stick in your pocket. Save a few bucks and get the TN12 Pro 100% won't be disappointed. It's your worried about size the v3 is shorter. ... show more

I only have problem with on-off button. Very light. Is should be a bit heavier. I found the light turned on in my bag. It may create fire problem if unnoticed. Product gets very hot when used for a long time.

I have had this light for over a year Its not perfect but for the price its a great light!!! The pictures are of low medium high and turbo the fence is 25 yards the wood shed is 50 yards the granary is 82 yards and the square piece of tin is at 120 yards. I can see better with my eye than you can see in the pictures. I can see fairly well out to 150 yards on turbo. You can see reflective objects further. I can see reflectors on liniator poles along the road for more than 600 yards. I have purchased 2 more of the thrunight tc15 and compared it side by side to the old one and the old is still just as bright it hasn't dimmed at all. The older one has more of a blue tint to it and the new ones have more of a yellow tint to them as shown in the picture. The lanyard feels excellent the packaging it comes in is extremely professional. It also comes with a sheath to carry it in. I had it fall out and so I don't trust the sheath. I pocket carried this light for a long time and now have made a leather sheath for it with my Leatherman. The first thing to do is cut the tab off of the rubber cap for the charging port (as shown in image) I found it would snag on my pocket and open it. So I cut it off and haven't had any issues since and its still easy to open. The batteries last a long time in just over a year of daily use I have only had to charge it like 3 times. It is the most useful thing I carry everyday. I love the memory setting the diffrent brightness levels. I find the firefly mode to be extremely useful. Its perfect for combination locks, reading, around horses, and anything you want to do without blinding yourself with how bright this flashlight can be. CONS:/WISHES: I really wish it had a two way clip to hook it on my hat when working in the dark. The button to turn it on and off can be hard to find. I index my clip so that it is exactly opposite of the button to help when trying to find it in the dark. While this helps it would be nicer to have a button on the back end. The sheath It can be tricky to get it to go to strobe. I find it is 4 fast clicks not 3 as advertised. If you are still reading then you should just buy this light you won't regret it. I've now bought 3. Everyone I show it to has asked me where they can get one. For black Friday it drops to 44 bucks . ... show more

Is a nice flashlight and gets quite bright for it's size. My only complaint is the on button. It's not on the bottom, but on the side, and it sits flush against the unit. Good for not accidentally turning it on, but difficult to find when you need it, especially if wearing gloves.
