I was set to buy the regular Heritage helmet by Thousand. I had made sure it was returnable in case I didn't like the fit. Then I decided to upgrade to this Chapter version for the MIPS protection, assuming of course I could return this too since the other was returnable and didn't think to double check. Turns out, no returns are accepted because this helmet has some feature that make it ineligible for a return on Amazon. And for me, it does not work at all, it hurts my head to wear it. It's also quite painful to try to unclip the strap to take it off as it digs into my skull when I take it off. Make sure you try this one on in person before purchase. ... show more

The thousand chapter helmet is a good helmet; it is light, well ventilated, stylish, comes in a decent array of colors, has MIPS integration, a poplock opening, and a magnetic removable light function. I will admit the price of entry can be a turn off as other helmets with similar features are available that are more affordable. What you get is an aesthetically well designed and durable helmet with enough extras to justify the added cost. Reading other reviews, the light included in the package is likely to be the biggest con, as many have written that it does not last anywhere near as long as claimed by the manufacturer. I can't speak on this yet as I really haven't used it. However, upon charging it I did notice the lights flash while charging, and when fully charged the lights just stay on. That is likely the cause of why the light does not last as long because of lithium waste. Thousand should consider retooling the light so it does not expel so much energy on charging alone. Other than that it is a good helmet. My main issue with the company is the turn around time for exchanging for a different size. I got a large but apparently was a medium... I returned the helmet on the 5th April and they received it the 9th. They did not ship it until the 16th of April and I received it the 26th. My advice is to actually measure your head, do not go by your baseball cap size. I have always used 7 and half hat size, which falls under the large, but it fit way too huge. ... show more

I appreciated that there are multiple ways to loosen and tighten the helmet. However, for larger-sized heads, I do not think the helmet is a good fit. Particularly, the helmet was very tight in the front of my head. The helmet even left an indentation on my forehead because of its tightness.

I bought this after the many possitive reviews. it is the correct size however it has a spot in the front that it rubbs ans presses my forhead. the shape just does not fit my head..so I figured i would return it..to my supprise it says items containing liquids and gasses can not be returned...however thousand has reached out to me to procces a return. ... show more

Ordered product but size was too large. Trying to return item per instructions but have not heard from seller. Disappointed in service. I was excited to give this brand a try but given the lack of response from seller, make sure it fits as you may be stuck with it.

It's fresh and very nice looking. However the light worked only once... I charge it to no avail, it just doesn't work. Not worth it since I bought it for the looks but also for the light. And it is an expensive helmet

I love my helmet, It is a beautiful helmet with MIPS for safety. I wouldn't purchase any helmet without MIPS, and the Thousand Chapter Collection helmet is provides safety and it is comfortable to wear. Another thing I love is the visor to keep the sun out of my eyes. The last think I love about this helmet is the magnetic light which is optional to wear.
