Head to the hardware store and pick up the appropriate sized metric machine screws once you get this, the ones that come with are wrong. Works great once you have the right screws.

This kit is similar to the OEM Google Nest version but two things kept it from 5 stars. The supplied machine screws are WAY too long and go through the metal plate and into the wall. I used shorter screws (not supplied) The plastic trim plate says "This side away from wall" on the wrong side. Not to point out another review, but the photo shared by another reviewer has the trim plate mounted backwards. The OEM trim plate says the opposite. ... show more

So the little screws needed to attach Nest to the metal plate are not included and m3, sae3 don’t fit, I think they are proprietary so heads up

Timely delivery. Exactly what I needed. Screw heads a bit soft- I stripped one so will have hard time removing (if ever).

Was looking forward to installing this until I realized the screw that came with it do not fit the bracket. Be sure to check this before you go through the trouble of taking your existing thermostat off the wall.

I rarely write a review here on amazon but for this one, i couldnt help it. You could've at least make sure that the screws that came with it can fit into the 4 holes on the metal plate. Either the screws are big or the holes are too small. They wont fit! It took us a couple of hours trying to modify the holes or trying to find a smaller screw that fits. It should be an easy install.
