The fact that you get two gel pads is a bonus. 6x10 is a great size for so many applications. Headaches, aches & pains, swelling, or to stay cool. I use these for migraine relief. I have many types of similar gel pads and this one stays cold a little longer than others I have. I've been using them daily for a few weeks now and knew they were staying cold quite a while. Nothing will stay cold forever, but I tested one over my forehead, in a room where my wood stove was going (80 degrees) and I got about 30 minutes of coldness on the skin, then about another 20+ minutes of coolness before it started to warm up with my body temp and the room temp. I always keep mine in the freezer, and they stay pliable and are never stiff. These come in different styles, but I wish they had wrist cuffs too. HINT, HINT. I have another brand that are wrist cuffs, and they are so nice for cooling down after a workout, etc. I've already bought another set because I'm so impressed! ... show more

This is amazing. It's gel so it comforms well anywhere you use it. It feels weighty and comforting. I used it after using an ice machine following rotator cuff surgery. I highly recommend this.

I have regular back muscle injuries due to a weakened back resulting from years of use of chair and table with poor ergonomics and also long hours of sitting. TheraIce provides faster recovery to my condition. My latest injury, which would normally go away in 5 to 6 days, took like 1 and half day to go away. As pointed in other reviews, TheraIce keeps the cold for a long time (in my experience 10 minutes very cold, 10 minutes cold), and it's surface does not get wet. Application of the ice pack can be a bit cumbersome if you are on your own and have to reach certain regions of your back. I bought a large for after I had knee surgery (dislocated patella) - it is amazing! Best ice back I've ever used! It forms to my knee/leg and stays in place. And, it stays really cold for a least an hour. I highly recommend.

If you want it for travel this is probably not what you want but it's just like what they use after pt that feels so good...I like that it's a bit bigger and that it can wrap around a sore ankle,elbow or knee or lay flat for back hips or wherever...I haven't had it long enough to speak to it's duranility but I am glad I kept it and I bet you will be top! ... show more
