Organic and socially responsible company

Very good chocolate bars and give them as gifts. Organic, sustainable policy, socially responsible and made in Seattle WA so my relatives who live in WA state appreciate it.

Great chocolate, great company.
Flavor Name: Pure 45%
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 6)
This is great chocolate, without any of the toxic stuff. I also want to give extra props regarding shipping. My chocolate was arriving on one of our hottest days so I was expecting liquid...BUT, inside the box it was wrapped in a foil padded shipping envelope WITH ICE PACKS! I was not, nor would I ev
er, expect them to do that. Huge kudos.

This chocolate is very, very tasty. Unlike some of the others, I do not like all of Theo's chocolate. I find their dark chocolates, with higher cacao content to be dry and crumbly. Not so with this. The chocolate does not taste like Hershey's or Nestle. This is artisan chocolate that has a distinct f
lavor, and that flavor varies ever so slightly from batch to batch. Whereas large chocolate companies like Hershey's and Nestle value a uniform flavor, Theo values the nuances that come with each individual batch. This chocolate does not use any soy. Many people have begun to feel that soy is unhealthy and those with soy allergies are often severely restricted in what chocolate (and other foods) they can eat. Soy is in so, so much stuff. They also use ground vanilla beans as opposed to the extract. This is a more expensive ingredient and harder to incorporate correctly. The taste, however, is worth it. So, yes, this is an expensive product. However, for your money you will be getting a far superior product from an ethical company. Maybe it isn't something you wish to consume frequently, but do try it...if you value subtle flavors, you won't be disappointed.

Hu chocolate is the best but is increasingly tough to buy. Theo, after trying many others, is the best right behind Hu: melt in the mouth consistency, rich flavor, good price, availability. I recommend it.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! 10.00 CHEAPER IN THE GROCERY STORES. I BOUGHT ON AMAZON BECAUSE IT'S THE ONLY CHOCOLATE MY STOMACH CAN HANDLE AND IT TASTES GREAT. BUT, IT WAS BACK ORDERED AT THE STORE AND I WAS DESPERATE. I'D ORDER IT REGULARLY IF THE PRICE CAME DOWN.

Best chocolate bar. Close to dark chocolate but smoother taste of milk chocolate.

Been ordering this for over a year. Shipping charges have gone up. Getting expensive to order but feel the quality is worth it.
