Instructions on package. What is Boba? Boba Tea, also known as Boba or Bubble Tea is a Taiwanese, tea based drink which often contains tapioca, known as Boba, or Tapioca Pearls at the bottom of the cup. These Boba are sucked up through an extra-large straw and are chewy, kind of like a gummy bear. It is unclear exactly when or who invented Boba, but we do know where, Taichung Taiwan sometime in the 1980's. Most Boba / Bubble tea recipes contain a tea base mixed with fruit or milk. Some popular flavors are: Honeydew Melon, Taro and Matcha Green Tea Latte. The Boba is served most often cold, sometimes hot, and blended like a smoothie or shaken like a cocktail. There are hundreds of variants of the drink, the most popular Boba / Bubble Tea drink is milk tea with tapioca pearls. There are also variations of Boba, mostly with the color being or dark brown. The Boba has a very mild sweet taste. Some shops also add flavored gelatin, also called jellies, to the bottom of the cup. The newest type of Boba are called "popping Boba", pearl sized beads filled with fruit flavored syrup, that pop when you bite them. Boba shops are popping up all over the world. One Boba drink will set you back about $6.00 on average. Quality will vary from shop to shop, but at Buddha Bubbles Boba, we pride ourselves on not only the highest quality, but also the most amazing taste. So...have a Boba today and smile.

  • WOW ^.^
I love this drink, I seen it a few years ago and have always wanted to try it when I seen it here on Amazon I ordered it right away and am so happy I did. The flavors of the drinks are right on and I am picky about flavors being what they should be, all of them are great. The set come with everything u need to have this awesome drink My advice when you make the drinks make the Tapioca balls 1st and give them some time to sit in the sugar water combo don't put them in the fridge they will become hard leave them on the counter covered with some plastic wrap as they sit in the sugar water. Also I filled the shaker with ice so the drink will be cold. This is my new favorite drink, It's fun and diff and a new thing to have that tastes awesome and is fun to drink ^.~ I will be ordering this again for sure. Side note if you have a large family as I do , I ordered a couple extra pks of the tapioca pearls because they send you a few diff pks of flavors and you only use 2 tablespoons for each drink one pks of pearls will fill 7-8 drinks depending on how much u use. so for diff days and to use all the powder for Boba drinks u may need more as I did ^.~ Happy Boba drinking ^.^ ... show more

  • Amazing product!! + here’s my recipe!
What an amazing buy! The flavors are great and the directions are easy!! I have found the PERFECT method of preparing so I will share it all with you! For the powder, add an extra tbsp of the powder for a more flavorful taste. Blend in a blender with 1.5 cups milk and 1 cup ice. Blend well! For the bobas, boil in sugar water! Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the water and a tsp of vanilla! If you don’t use the sugar or vanilla it tastes like chewy water. If you store the bobas in the fridge after boiling, add a little sugar and vanilla in a bowl of water and store for up to 12 hours (the sooner the better). This product is great and with a little extra TLC it tastes JUST like from the stores! ... show more

  • Small cups, okay flavor
First, the kit is pretty comprehensive and I give them credit for the variety of flavors. The flavors taste... okay. They're definitely not as good as boba from an actual boba shop, but it works. Personally, I think the cups are way too small. I use my own cup and just double the recipe. The most challenging part is cooking the boba. I don't recommend using the instructions on the package. It's not very comprehensive. My first try they came out slightly undercooked so I watched a YouTube video for the second try and it came out more or less perfect. I think this is good if you're a boba lover and you don't have easy access to a place to get it near you, but if you love boba and have a place nearby that sells it, I recommend you stick to getting it there. It's just not the same. ... show more

  • Perfect boba and anime night
Just got them today we have gone through about 1/4 of the mixes betwèen the 12 of us tonight. We love our boba here. Since we havent had it in months because our favorite spot went out of bussiness I purchased this and a few other things. We loved it. Each of us had at least 3. Some of us had more. But it was way way worth it. Flavors were spot on. Some requried a tad bit more flavoring but not much. Just all together a great kit. We already have another one on the way. Love it. ... show more

  • great starter kit, but not viable for long term use at a home.
the plain tapioca pearls don't need a kosher hechsher, so I can keep ordering those (but I'll keep looking for a better price). The flavor selection isn't kosher. So I won't be able to order it in the future. Also, to come close to the flavor of a tea shop, it takes a lot more powder than suggested. the product does taste good (I started with coconut). But I paired it with weak green tea and didn't expect to have to double the amount of powder to get it to have any taste in the tea. I could add more to get it thick like the shops but I stopped. I will continue researching youtube videos for more natural recipes. Milk, tea, and fruit purees are kosher, and so is vanilla coffee mate, which is what these powders are based on. This is a good starter platform, but I want the good boba teas I've had in Seattle. So I will have to mix them up. ... show more

  • Crap
Directions terrible. Bubbles taste terrible. Need a lot of powder to achieve a good taste. I used 4 tbsp a d 3/4 cup water and it was very watered down still. Over all super disappointed, especially since its non retur able. Cups are very flimsy. Shaker blew open on me all over my kitchen when I went to shake it.. just a huge sticky mess. Dont waste your money. ... show more
