Description

2003 LP reissue on 180-gram vinyl. After the rock 'n' roll lifestyle killed their original lead singer, Bon Scott, sobriety became a necessity for Malcolm Young, but nobody was sure what effect it would have on hard rock. Exiting rehab in 1990, Malcolm and his brother Angus got to writing and performing evidence that you could rock harder than anybody without drugs or alcohol. The hits "Thunderstruck" and "Moneytalks" prove it! The album peaked at 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. With a little help from famed hard rock producer Bruce Fairbairn, this was the album that reintroduced AC/DC as a powerhouse band for a new generation.

  • Vinyl Is Terrific!
This is a great album all the way, though I do not regard it as highly as the Phil Rudd albums, which is just 1 opinion. If it weren't for amazon's generous return policy, which benefits vinyl buyers a whole lot, I prob. would never have had this wonderful album. The first copy was flawed right away with skips and cracks and it repeated words like 10 times before moving on. I returned it for refund and after a week or two, decided to try again. The second copy had a scratch deep and noticeable and really was awful to try to listen to it with a bunch of skips right in the first song, and this was right out of the package and noticed right away on first inspection. So, I had no choice but to return this one too and I don't like having to do that, but I asked them to send another copy (3rd try). On the third copy, I noticed it was flawless and after it played all the way through without any problem whatsoever, I rejoiced. Thank You, Amazon for making it right with this album. I love this album and now it's even better and more personal on vinyl! ... show more

  • Very good quality pressing and well mastered
This is significantly better than I expected from new production vinyl. Whoever did the remastering for the vinyl pressing did an absolutely outstanding job. Everything is amazingly clear and very well balanced - not easy to achieve on this old technology, although admittedly it is pretty simply music to begin with. Considering it sounds this good and probably cost a bundle to remaster and remanufacture for vinyl, I have no problem paying a $5 premium over the CD version. The extra bit of TLC the vinyl gets really makes it worth it. ... show more

  • Sonics are good
Sounds great. Wide soundstage. It did skip, I increased the tracking force to fix it. I'm happy with my copy. 2.1 setup
