Bought this jacket for a New England trip this fall. It was exactly what I needed. I loved the option to layer, or use only the inner or outer shell of the jacket. It is perfect for a wet/windy chilly day. Not designed for really cold weather. I add a fleece jacket under the outer layer of the jacket for extra warmth if necessary. I love this coat! It has become my go to jacket on drizzly, windy days. The two jackets zip together very easily. The inner jacket is light, just enough to give you a little warmth. Also, love the color. Fits me great. Northface tends to run a size small for me so I bought an XXL which was a good call. Wouldn’t say it’s the warmest jacket but it’s been great for me in 40-50 degree North East weather. You might be a little chilly in anything under 40 degrees if you’re not layered up. It’s lightweight and not bulky which I like for long car rides to and from work. I love North Face and the Carto is a nice jacket. I would keep this but I really need something for snow sports and this one may be a little to light weight. It will keep you warm but if you are looking for something for skiing or boarding then go with something that has the powder skirt and other features like a wrist pocket etc. this is a great waterproof winter jacket for walking around town! ... show more
