IT's a great gift for a Harry Potter fan. The only drawback is the acrylic cover reflects light terribly, so if you've got any lights shining on it you won't be able to see what's inside. I guess you could just take it off, but it kind of defeats the display case appearance.

I can see after buying some more pieces from The Noble Collection, they do make quality items. It is a very nice display piece, for a Harry Potter fun, it became a must have.

    • Are you supposed to have to glue this together?
The Fawkes bird is on an unstable pedestal. Are you supposed to have to glue it to keep it in place? if you pick it up, with it unglued, sooner or later you will break the beak..... I am disappointed that I will have to glue this to have piece of mind....

The quality on this piece is great. It's great for display and even looks good in the packaging. The only slight problem is that the "books" that prop up Fawkes are a bit too small so he can fall down sometimes. Other than that the piece is great.

I bought this for my friend who has adopted Fawkes as her icon and loves Harry Potter. She absolutely loved it. It has great detail and very inexpensive for any hardcore Harry Potter fan.
