At first, I was surprised with how thick and heavy each record is. Each side is a different vinyl pressing design, which led me to fear the needle would skip. But, I was wrong. Even my clutzy bumps onto the table my Fluance turntable is on didn’t skip the needle once. Then each song on both sides sounded amazing! I heard no flaws at all even though I expected it to skip or have sound defects since the pressings made the vinyl look glossy. After I sent samples to my friends, they also wanted the album. Hopefully they will buy it because it’s worth buying! The album & sleeves are both thick material to further ensure the vinyl discs will be preserved for a very long time. I highly recommend this album to those who both enjoy this movie and love how vinyl records sound! ... show more

Was really excited to purchase this for Christmas for my best friend who loves the movie! Was not disappointed for her reaction to the gift either. This product has made me really curious to look into other Zoetrope records to start collecting for myself as well. Seems to be great design on each side of the vinyls!     • A Must-Have for every Fan
This classic original soundtrack single CD is all you need. Not the other special edition consisting of two disks with cover versions of the songs by various artists making up the second CD. I only wanted the CD consisting of all the same tracks that I once owned on a cassette tape purchased in 1993 from the music store at the mall (and yes you are that old!) which is why I made sure to buy this version from my favorite online seller. Danny Elfman and his zany tunes are now part of Halloween itself from "This is Halloween" to "Oogie Boogie's Song" and best of all, you get the "Opening" and "Closing" prologue and epilogue as narrated by the great Patrick Stewart which really should have been included in their entireties in the feature film but weren't. Google this to find out why. But, seriously Tim, you really should have kept them in! Or at least included it in a deleted scenes featurette on the DVD. This is very cool, although don't expect just to look at it and see the animation. You'll need a strobe light or skilled camera capabilities to view the animation on the vinyl.

The media could not be loaded. My girlfriend nearly cried when I gave this to her as a Halloween present. The vinyls are gorgeous, sound great, and the zoetropes are wonderful. You'll see a lot of nonsense about special lighting, certain cameras, apps, etc for revealing zoetrope animation; but let me tell you how I easily took a bunch of b-roll with only my phone (and a tripod, optional). Instructions for Android phones: go to your camera app, enter manual/professional/whatever your phone calls it video mode, dial your "speed" up or down until you see the animation become more and more clear. Once the animation is showing smoothly, the image will probably be very blown out (highlights) or very dark, so proceed to dial your ISO up or down and play with your exposure setting until it's balanced out. If you're using a tripod or some other handsfree stabilizing implement, manually lock your point of focus somewhere toward the center or outer-3rd of the frame and take a couple short test clips to make sure that's where you want it. Fiddle with angles and the aforementioned settings to your desired result. If you're not using a tripod or otherwise, set your focus to auto tracking and tap where you want it, but try to avoid moving toward and away from the platter (smoothly side to side should generally be fine). Some or all of these instructions may work with iPhones, but I cannot personally confirm that. Flash is optional, depending on your situation. Hope that helps! Lo compramos porque lo vimos por internet, a mi personalmente me encanta la película y nos llamó mucho la atención el tema del Zoetrope. La verdad es que no sé si sea por la versión del LP que compramos pero nos la imaginamos diferente, imaginamos que ibamos a ver un poco más la secuencia de los personajes pero no es así, al momento de ponerlo en el reproductor se ven simplemente las líneas del LP y no la transición de movimiento de los personajes que nos imaginamos.     • Mind blowing Album.
Note this LP has pictures that when lighting speed and camera settings are just right the Vinyl becomes an animated image. Note videos on other platforms show how to make this work and let me say it is super cool. 😎
