Ever want something so much, that you wait and wait hoping it will come—but after a long time, it doesn’t happen? That is the place the little snowplow is at. He’s happy and likes helping the other machines, but what he really loves is snow. As the beginning of March approaches, his birthday, and still there is no snow, the little snowplow gives up on his dream, and glumly organizes his party instead. However, on the day of his birthday, he is surprised by an unexpected gift. This hardbacked book contains over-sized pages full of illustrations sure to be loved by children. Kids will adore hearing about the other machines trying to cheer up the little snowplow by playing ice snowkey-pokey. They will also be excited by the gift the little snowplow gets, and the joy he feels along with the fun he has with it. Underlying this fun story with cute pictures is a message that there are times when we don’t always get what we want right away. Sometimes we have to bide our time. But after waiting, just like the little snowplow, unexpectedly getting our wish can make the gift that much better. I highly recommend this well-written and illustrated 5-star story for all children who like the unexpected! My four year old son loves the first Little Snowplow book, and the second did not disappoint! This is such a fun return to a favorite character. My son has been "plowing the streets of Mighty Mountain" for days now, and asking if it's going to snow. Perfect for the season and beyond, passes the kid test. ... show more
