  • Great!
An impressive collection. Love the spiral binding so it lays flat while playing.

  • Great Pieces with Great Binding
I love the collection of music pieces in the book and I love the binding, which removes the stress of the book closing while you play! The best music collection book I have after more than a decade of use!

  • Very comprehensive piano book
I've played piano for over a decade, and so I've had to buy many piano books as my skill level has increased. The problem I had with several books was that I would only play a few pieces from an entire book (none of the other pieces in it would entice me, and/or I would just need it for one examination), and so I felt bad for playing so little from an entire book. This piano book has solved that problem for me, and I even bought their second book because I wanted more pieces that the first one didn't have. Now to find the time to learn them all.... I've been finding pieces in here from other books that I've owned that I've already learned, as well as pieces I've always wanted to learn. It's exciting that they're all in one giant book because now I don't need to carry around five to seven books just for a few pieces. I highly recommend this book for any piano lovers out there who want most of the classics right in their hands. *Most, if not all of the pieces are intermediate and advanced. The size of the music notes are a good size, and the book itself is plastic spiral-bounded. ... show more

  • Now that's what I'm talking about...
Okay so I said in a previous review that if I had to keep only one book to play from, it would be "The Piano Bench Of Classical Music" available here on Amazon. I am not disputing that it is indeed a great book to have in your collection because it really is, but over time I'm finding myself grabbing this particular book (Library Of Piano Classics) to play from because of the vast array of enjoyable songs. 350 pages, 90 intermediate/advanced songs, plastic coil binding, GREAT SELECTION OF SONGS OVERALL! I also have book 2 of this collection, it's good but I don't play from it as often as I do from this book. Some songs in this book worth mentioning: Fantasy in D Minor (Mozart) Nocturne Op. 72, No. 1 (Chopin) Valse Op. 64, No.2 (Chopin) Mazurka in A minor (Chopin) Valse Op. 69, No. 2 (Chopin) Liebestraum (Liszt) Nocturne (Field) Serenade (Schubert) Anitra's Dance (Grieg) Prelude (No. 1 from The Well-Tempered Clavier (Bach) Fantasie-Impromptue (Chopin) - Incredible song but too difficult for me! Hungarian Dance No. 5 (Brahms) Golliwog's Cake-walk (Debussy) Song of India (Rimsky-Korsakov) Prelude Op. 3, No. 2 (Rachmaninoff) (Rondo) Alla Turca (Mozart) Venetian Boat Song (Mendelssohn) Also contains some of the more overplayed classics like Fur Elise & Moonlight Sonata (Beethoven), Air (Bach), and Claire de Lune (Debussy). Still, a great collection overall. This is my new best book. Try it, you'll like it! ... show more

  • Product is exactly as described
I like this item, it was exactly as described and had the sheet music that I wanted. If you are looking for classical sheet music that is most popular then this item is what your looking for. It has some of the well known pieces of classical music in it and you will be pleased with the selection.

  • Excellent selection, large print
The selection of pieces is perfect for an intermediate player, but would honestly work well for anybody but the most highly advanced students (because they'll probably know this stuff by heart already). You can't really go wrong with authentic classical music. There are a few easier pieces (eg. Happy Farmer, To a Wild Rose), plus some difficult ones (Rachmaninoff and Chopin!) and a lot in the middle (Ala Turca, Moonlight Sonata, Dvorak's Humoresque, Clair de Lune, and many more). There's a good balance of eras and flavors too. Print is clear and large, binding is sturdy. I'm glad I bought this book before looking for more classical collections. This one will keep me busy for a long time. ... show more

  • Absolutely perfect - There are so many classics in this book ...
Absolutely perfect - There are so many classics in this book that I have played and I just am thrilled I ordered it. I became very ill in 2008 and all my music was packed up and has been in storage ever since. My daughter and her husband gave me a keyboard from Amazon - a Yamaha Portable Grand DGX-230 last November. She has one and I loved playing it while visiting her last year. It was a wonderful "Welcome to Mom's Apartment" last November. I live in a Lutheran Adult Home (104 residents) and I play for most of the church services here. Unfortunately, I am not able to play the organ any longer, but the piano - my life saver! I found almost 1/4-1/3 of the music in this book - I have played before and I just love it. I would recommend this collection to anyone with years of piano experience.... ... show more

  • High-Intermediate Level Players Only!
Beautiful, a multitude of beautiful pieces, but absolutely listen to me when I say that this book is not for beginners. As frustrating as it can be to have to buy books that say 'easy' version of classical songs (because you want to know the real version of it, the right version right away), maybe try getting the books from this brand that are labelled as 'easy'. I have been playing piano since I was a child, and these pieces of no jokes. I had to go through and mark which ones I'm capable of playing at my current level (With very, very hard work) and I'll somehow work my way up to the others, whether that's on my own or with an actual teacher. But do not, under any circumstances, buy this book unless you are a high-intermediate level of piano, or else you'll get absolutely no use out of it. ... show more
