I had to return them. I ordered them as a gift for a grandson who lives in another city. I went by the waist measurement, and it turns out he wears his shorts below his belly, so of course they looked long and baggy on him. I may consult with his parents and order the same ones in a smaller size after we figure out what would work. They look like good quality shorts for the money. My son had a recent growth spurt and needed all new clothes for summer. These look great and fit pretty good. They're maybe a little big in the waist for my string bean boy. I don’t know why these are so affordable, they are so darn well-made! Way better deal than other cargo shorts on Amazon! I got them for my 12 and 14 year old boys who are a little bit chunky and growing like weeds; both of them like a longer short that is more modest, and these do the trick. They’re also picky about texture, and they say these are comfortable. They look very nice too, and they wear well in the wash. I honestly think they are the perfect kid shorts! Very very happy with these! My ex-husband was impressed with them and bought some for the boys too, and he is very picky lol. My son is on the chunkier side so he fits them perfectly. The pockets opens one side he’s about 20 pounds at 8 months and fits 18 month perfectly plus they have the button on the inside of the waist to make tighter
