This is marketed to look like a book but buyer beware - this is a simple fold out pamphlet. It is certainly well designed and easy to read but the content would be valuable only to a person with absolutely zero experience. We have a brand new outboard engine yet recently it stopped working half way back to our boat. I had no idea what to do and where to start. I ended up having someone tow me back (luckily) but I decided that I wouldn’t be in this position again. I bought the outboard pamphlet and it’s a amazing! It’s made for folks like me who don’t know too much about an outboard and need to quickly trouble shoot the issue. It’s also a good refresher for seasoned cruisers. It’s waterproof and tear proof so it can live in our dinghy locker. I also have 2 boys driving the dinghy so it gives me peace of mind knowing they can trouble shoot issues if they arise out there.
