Every technician, engineer, and electronics hobbyist should read this book. The whole thing. It has been dumbed down a bit from the first edition I read in the early 1970s, but it is still the most practical DIY electronics book around.

Pretty much everything you need to know about selecting, building and maintaining a ham radio station. But not just that. Keep up to date with current electronic information and refresh yourself on circuit design, formulas, principles and so forth. The only thing I would change about this manual is that it be available win spiral bound format so that it can be laid flat for hands-free referencing. However, based on the hefty weight and the thickness of it, that may not be practical. Nevertheless, a CD is included that contains the entire manual in pdf format that you can quite easily search through or just read. ... show more

Was a little slow on delivery considering my purchase date, but still was acceptable. The book is in mint condition. I just received it and did a quick inspection thumbing through the pages ... all seems perfectly fine thus far. Was a fantastic price as I bought it for just $10.00 on a brief sale they occasionally would run. Highly recommended! I will keep this seller in mind should I seek to purchase something else. Got it during the $10 sale. Great deal and was surprised that it comes with a CD that contains the whole book too. Now I can put it on my computer to carry with me since the book it big and very heavy!
