The battery packs in weird spots. Don't expect this to last more that one use. I had to order batteries separately. Still a good deal I guess for one night Halloween use. It says for 3 year olds. I have a 5 year old and I would say that's the oldest I would go on it.

The costume is cute but does not light up after adding the batteries. My daughter was disappointed but she can still wear it an be a cat for Halloween .

My 4-year-old daughter recently received a Black Cat Costume, and generally, the experience has been positive. The fit is perfect, to start with. Finding costumes for children that fit properly can be challenging, but this one worked beautifully. My kid adored the entire cat appearance and looked gorgeous in it. Speaking of appearances, the style is undoubtedly adorable. The attention to detail is excellent, and it truly portrays the spirit of a black cat. It's just right for youngsters since it's not too extravagant or frightful. The addition of tattoos and cat ears to the outfit was a welcome surprise. The cat ears brilliantly finished the appearance, and the tattoos provided an extra element of fun to the outfit. It's excellent when a costume comes with these added details to keep youngsters interested in wearing it. On to the less desirable aspects now. Sadly, the skirt lights didn't come on. It was a little disappointed because it would have given the garment a mystical element. Although it's not a deal-breaker, it should be noted. Additionally, you'll need to get an additional black shirt to put over the outfit. It doesn't come with one, which means there will be an additional cost and some trouble. The Black Cat Costume is a wonderful fit, has a lovely appearance, and comes with entertaining additions like tattoos and cat ears. The only drawbacks were the non-working skirt lights and the have to buy a black shirt separately. Despite these drawbacks, my kid thought the costume was wonderful and fun to wear. ... show more

Cute little kids cat costume. Fits my 6 year old (who is on the small side) well. The material the skirt is made of is very thin and a little on the scratchy side but not too bad. Plus the skirt has two layers on it with the lights in between so neither the lights nor the rough material touch the skin. The headband fits on her head without falling off and the fact that the tail is on more of a belt instead of a clip on keeps it from falling off while she is running around. Would be better if the temporary tattoos that came with it were more cat related but that isn't that important as I just see them as an extra gift. Knowing how hard my children are on clothing I can say with confidences that this costume will only last one season before being destroyed. Also it can not be washed due to the lights. ... show more

    • Fun costume set but not great quality
I got this set for my 5 year old because she was excited to be a black cat for Halloween. We were looking forward to the light-up feature of the skirt and the ears, but when we got it we discovered that there was no indication of what batteries are needed for the lights. There were 2 little empty battery boxes, one on the ears and one hidden in the skirt, and we have no idea what batteries to get for them. Also, the light string is in the skirt is sandwiched between two layers of tulle material, but it is very haphazardly bunched up in the skirt, so you have to spend a lot of time spreading the wires out to evenly distribute the lights. My daughter started wearing the costume set every day, but after a few days I saw that the skirt is starting to fray on the bottom, so I made her stop wearing it till Halloween. I was hoping this set would be better quality, but it will be fun for her to wear as a costume for one night. ... show more
