I'm giving this a 5 star review. Before I started, I made sure I had all pieces. Everything was in the box and it was in good condition. Nothing was damaged. The instructions were pictures, not words, but that worked well for me working with kids. That kid gave up haha. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to put together. Make sure you have a lot of room to put it together. The metal bars for the bed bases were a pain to put together. After we did the first, we did the second standing on one end and leaning against the wall. Then the other end we were able to go across and put the slats into the other side bar. It was easier than having it laying down. The bed is very sturdy. I feel like you'd have to really make a hassle on it to mess it up. Obviously they shouldn't be jumping on the bed. For us, the height is perfect! The little can sit on the top bunk and not hit her head. The room isn't super big. I for sure recommend. ... show more

The bunk beds are a great value and the grandkids are going to love them. They seem sturdy and the weight limitations are great - 350 lbs for the lower beds and 250 lbs for the top bunk. Now here is the downside of the bunk beds. Be aware the bunks take several hours to assemble, which I didn't mind. The problem is there is no support if there are missing or damaged parts. Typically the instructions will have the manufacturer's contact information and a phone number to call to replace any missing or damaged parts - not the case with these beds. I was missing two screws at the end of the build and when I called Amazon asking for contact information to get the missing screws, the only option was to return the entire thing. This bed comes in two boxes and after spending hours putting it together, there was no way I was going to be able to get all the components back in those two boxes. So, now I'm on the hunt for matching replacement screws, which isn't easy trying to get the correct head width. I should count myself fortunate that it was only screws and not a major component of the bed that was damaged or missing. If the bed arrives undamaged and has all the parts, it's a fantastic deal. If there is an issue, you only have the option of returning it. ... show more

I got this today at noon and wanted to build it and set it up before the kids came home from school. I literally just made it. So here are the pros: - the metal pieces make it easy to know what goes where - instructions are pretty clear - it's sturdy - easier to put together than the Ikea metal bunk I have (for 2 other kiddos) - well packed, no dings of scratches during shipping Cons: - the ladder is a bit small. it's okay for my 7 year old but can't see a 10+ year old bunking on top - it's a bit higher than other kids bunk beds I've seen. it works for me because I have vaulted ceilings so i don't mind. All in all I'm happy with it. *For the metal slats, you have to put in all the slats (there's just a smidgen of room to keep them hanging on both sides) and when they're all hanging on, put in the screws and tighten. The tightening of the screws will push the bed rails in towards each other to tighten the slats. I'd say it's a 2 person job right here. The rest of it I did myself but needed help on that portion. Finally, after I built everything I had trouble fitting the ladder. I had to loosen the bottom bar and then sort of push and shove it into place, screw everything in with force, and readjust. it took after that. ... show more

I bought the twin over full bunk bed. First of all it’s not easy to put together because it’s literally just pictures. The worst part is that two pieces that should of had holes drilled in them for screws did not! I had to have someone put a holes through them to be able to finish putting I the bed together. I ordered the silver as pictured and recieved black. The directions don't tell you the importance of which holes and which direction to place things. It's super import and if you get it wrong 1x you find yourself taking apart the whole thing multiple times. I also noticed some holes and screws you have to really struggle to align. Over all its sturdy and decent. I wish the yellow sticker peeled off without tearing and leaving residue behind on the bunkbed. ... show more

When it comes to putting in the slats if you follow assembly instructions it will be aggravating if you will join the ends with a cross for the top the start at one end putting both slats and side rails in it will be easier
