I got this telescope because I seem to regret not having one every time there’s some awesome event in the sky. The thing that drew me the most to this was the included phone mount. Normally it’s a massive pain to align a phone to a telescope, but not with this one! The entire package is very compact, light weight, and I love that the carrying case is a backpack. There are plenty of pouches in the backpack for storing the various bits a pieces after use. The setup is beyond easy and I never had to look at the instructions. It’s seems quite high quality and the tripod is very stable with a lot of adjustability to get just the right shot with your phone. I purchased this telescope for my granddaughter as a birthday present. She was tickled when she opened the package. It was easy to assemble and looked sharp put together. So far she has only looked at the moon and there's very good definition with the craters on the surface. The phone adapter hasn't been tried yet but I believe it will work fine . She definitely loves the telescope and that's all that matters to me . It arrived very quick and packaging was in great shape . The price was decent and I've no complaints. I ordered this as a gift and it arrived quickly! Very easy setup, especially for someone who isn’t familiar with telescopes. Good quality materials, is very stable and the backpack to store everything is an awesome bonus! We were able to set it up and get to viewing the night sky within 30 minutes. The cell phone attachment makes pictures a breeze, and we look forward to taking this along on some nighttime hikes in the desert. The scope, though a bit cumbersome, has superb clarity and the tri-pod is solid. It would have been great to have a case that holds all the components, though. I bought a lesser model and returned it, but the rectangular case was great. The main reason I bought the scope was to take photos with it on my phone through the scope. But it is so incredibly difficult to maneuver the phone into just the right position; lining it up with a tiny whole over the eyepiece within the adapter, that whatever wildlife I'm observing has long disappeared. Once I was able to get it sort of lined up, the quality of the photos is very disappointing. See photo. I'm hoping that someone has a trick to make it work more effectively, OR that there might be another iphone adapter that is easier to use. ... show more

A great telescope. I'm a beginner and wanted to see what I could see, especially with the summer solstice. Set up was about 30 minutes. I like that it comes with a backpack to keep everything tidy. Parts are sturdy, but everything is so surprisingly lightweight. This would be wonderful for camping, national parks, and at home viewing. This has an attachment for your phone, which was amazing.
