Instruction should probably be modified to mention the lens dust cover with respect to use and storage.. We purchased this for our son as a Christmas gift and although he is young it’s the best item for the whole family to enjoy. What a beautiful thing to do at night with the fam. It’s zooms in pretty close and the details are pretty tight when moon watching. Definitely recommend for a first time user.

I bought this telescope after looking and comparing several different models. It came packaged really well and all the parts were there. It was fairly easy to assemble. As a beginner it is easy to setup and use. I have only used it a couple of times because the weather hasn’t cooperated. I bought this for my wife and she loves it. It was easy to put it together and the iPhone attachment is awesome for taking photos of the night sky. One thing to note, the Koolpte telescope needs to adjust to temperature outside, once you get the hang of focusing in on stars it is very fun. Good beginner telescope for sure.
