This is a good beginners' telescope considering the price. Firstly, its easily to install with the manual. It has a solid build with materials feeling sturdy. The tripod is adjustable, can be fit for children. The 90mm aperture provides a good balance between portability and light-gathering power. The 700mm focal length gives a moderate magnification. Ordered this as a gift for my husband. It arrived well packaged and in a nice travel bag. It came with a very good instruction manual and was easy to assemble. This is a fun item to take camping to look at moon and stars. The slow-motion knobs are especially nice for precise aiming and are a definite improvement over the telescope I had as a kid.
