The telescope comes with allot of pieces and was a little difficult to follow but came together. Once assembled it works well enough and seems to be a decent introduction to sky gazing. Good product overall, the tripod extends to ~ 4 feet and it's all balanced/easy to adjust. Excellent telescope! This came exactly how it was described and met our expectations. It was very easy to assemble. It is of good quality. Is a great beginner telescope. The most I like is that you can add your smart phone & take pictures and has Included everything you need to get started!

    • Good for an adult beginner
I was able to put this together pretty easily although I did check for some online videos to clarify some of the part names (a few parts are called different things). I was disappointed that this telescope did not come with a bag because that was why I picked this one. I saw another reviewer said the same thing, but I found a nice lightly padded bag to put the telescope in and I'm happy with that purchase. For my beginner self, this was a good purchase. I can see the moon pretty clearly and it did what I thought it would, and I like that I can disassemble it quickly and take it on a trip. I would warn people that are trying to take photos with their phones to not move your phone around once you get it situated in the slot because it can scratch your lens like it did mine. My Galaxy S20+ was too heavy and started slipping out of place, and I wiggled it around too much to get the right alignment again and I won't do that again. I bought this for my 12 year old son for Christmas and he thinks it's really cool. It's sturdy enough and seems to work well. Assembly was also really easy. I wanted to get him a decent telescope that wasn't too expensive and I feel like that's exactly what we got.
