Install was dead simple. The directions were clear and it’s basic to install. The reception is good enough. I mostly use streaming apps or satellite radio so I’m not demanding on the absolute radio reception. That said, I did notice a drop in reception quality. This was more in stations fairly far away. The more local stations all sound as they did before but I have more static on some of those on the edge of range that with the factory antenna were clear. I suppose that’s to be expected when the antenna shrinks this much. Overall it wasn’t a huge drop and the smaller size is worth the trade off to me but if radio reception was the main goal I’d stick to the stock antenna. ... show more

We hardly ever use the AM/FM radio on our Wrangler and the OEM antenna was a pain to deal with when putting on or taking off the cover so this was an easy solution.
