  • Great taste
Flavor Name: Masters Collection
Comes in a beautiful box, would totally work as a great present to a tea lover. Tastes great, sampling allowed me to order the tea I liked in a bigger box. 100% recommend.

  • Gorgeous
Flavor Name: Black Forest Collection
This is just a gorgeous tea collection. I actually bought another set for a friend as a gift and ended up buying one for myself because I was so intrigued. The tins are really lovely, and so far I have loved each one that I’ve tried. I really like the chais and the caramel almond.

All the teas in this collection were good. None of them disappointed. A good way to sample what you may want to purchase more of.

  • Giftable, but pricey
Flavor Name: Masters Collection
Definitely giftable, but very pricey. I would only get this again if it was closer to $30-35 than $50. The presentation is lovely, but the flavors are somewhat mild.

  • A nice selection of quality teas that wont disappoint.
Flavor Name: Masters Collection
The Teabloom Masters Collection is a good set of quality teas. It comes in a nice box that provides a good presentation of the six tins of tea and comes with a little booklet to provide some information on each one. The box lid is magnetically held in place, which helps with the nice experience of unboxing and presenting this tea. There are four Oolong teas (Milky, Jade, Formosa, and White Tip), one black tea (Golden Monkey), and one white tea (White Silver Needle). The teas come in individual metal tins with clearly legible labels on the lids and each tin is sealed with a clear tape (remember to take the tape off or you will have an exceedingly hard time opening the tin). The tins seem to seal well enough and are sure to keep the tea fresh. The booklet that comes with the tea contains the same information as on the Amazon product page in the photos. The information is basic without providing as much detail as I’d like given this is a Masters Collection tea set with single origin teas (I’d like to know more about these teas and their origin, which if you go to Teabloom’s website you can find some additional information). While detailed information is missing about the origin of the teas, there is all the information needed to steep the tea and some notes about the flavor profile. Milky Oolong: This is a good tea that has some fruit/berry aromas to it that matches perfectly with the almost strawberry flavor and more creamy mouthfeel (well, creamy for a tea with no milk or cream in it). This tea steeps to a nice rich golden yellow color and can be steeped at least twice. Jade Oolong: This tea is a little softer and subtler with a mildly sweet and floral taste to it combined with a very mild muskiness. This tea is a lighter golden yellow color, easily steeps twice, and is characteristically more what I think of and expect when I get a traditional green Oolong tea. Formosa Oolong: Formosa Oolong tea has some history to it, starting with the name Formosa, being the name the Portuguese named Taiwan and means beautiful island. Later, oolong tea was introduced to Taiwan by Chinese immigrants and later in 1856 was grown in large scale and sold as Formosa Oolong tea by John Dodd, a British businessman [source: PureTaiwanTea]. I found that there are some floral notes to the aroma and flavor with a nice smooth mouth feel. The combination of floral notes and smooth mouth feel bring hints of raisins or plums. Overall, this is a relatively mild taste, but not so much as to be mild but rather subtle. It steeps to a nice light golden yellow color and can be steeped twice. White Tip Oolong: This is an interesting tea. Looking up the origin of this tea, it starts with tea leaves that have been by Jacobiasca formosana, which causes the tea to produce an oxidative reaction. This oxidative reaction gives off a honey like aroma. The buds of the tea will turn white and hence the name white tip. I found that this tea is much more like what I expect of a good white tea, but with more earthiness to it and light floral/sweet hints similar to those honey can provide when mixed with tea. When steeped, this tea produces a nice rich golden color and is able to be steeped twice. Golden Monkey: I found this tea to be a bit like a traditional Ceylon tea with its orange/brown color, light sweetness, and softer tones of other flavors (spices and fruits), but this tea is a bit smoother/creamier with stronger hints of spices and almost a buttery quality to it (maybe like a nut butter). The aroma is similar to the flavor profile, but also imparts a little bit of earthy/roasted character to it (maybe similar to roasted apples). Of the other teas, this one has the stronger flavor, which is to be expected of a black tea, and it can easily be steeped twice. White Silver Needle: I have never tried a white silver needle tea before, so I was excited to see that one was included in this set. I didn’t expect the leaves to be so soft and fuzzy feeling, which I think is part of the reason they do not want to sink in the water and just float on top. The flavor and aroma of this tea is very mild, but is nicely sweet and floral, like honeysuckle. The color of the tea is also very light and I was wondering if I had even steeped it long enough or with enough leaves, but this is just a light tea. ... show more

  • Some of the best oolong tea I have ever tasted
Flavor Name: Masters Collection
I'm a daily tea drinker, and oolong teas are by far my favorite. This tea set comes in a very nice gift box and would make a very nice, premium gift set for any tea drinkers in your live. I have to say that the milky oolong tea that is included might be my favorite tea I've had in drinking tea for over twenty five years. It has such a unique flavor, it is very smooth. The tea set though from a budget standpoint is very pricy for the amount of tea you get so keep that in mind. ... show more
