This little kit comes with everything I need to test my sugar, whether I’m at home or traveling on the road. I really like the little zipper case that securely holds the glucose monitor the testing strips and all the other accessories I need. The price is also very reasonable for the amount of supplies that I received. This is so much more compact than other sets that I’ve seen so it also doesn’t feel like I’m lugging a bunch of equipment around. This is a very nice kit that comes with everything you need to start out with. I do not have diabetes so I figured I would try this out first (my husband does have type 2) so I took my blood sugar and as you can see it registered high which I knew right away was wrong so I got my hubbys kit and took it and immediately it registered much lower. I retook it again and it registered lower this time. I decided to try it on my son (he is 28, so not a minor, don't freak out) and he also does not have diabetes, and his registered fine on both machines although it was a little higher on this one. This is a nice kit that comes with everything you need but it the first time you use it, it might register very high so try it at least 2 or 3 times and after that it should be ok. I wish Amazon had the half star ratings cause I would give this a 3.5 stars . ... show more

This is a decent quality glucose meter, the kit is all-inclusive of everything you need to check your blood sugar levels. The monitor is decently easy to set up with clear English instructions. There are even 2 AAA batteries included to get you started. That is, along with 100 lancet tips and 100 test strips. I found the meter to be pretty easy to use, no real setup besides setting the date and time (to be able to refer back to your glucose readings history). Also, an interesting feature is that you can set up to four daily reminder alarms whereby the unit will remind you that it's time to check your blood glucose level. The display is large and clear and has a blue backlight while turned on. The lancet tool has 9 separate depth levels, more than your average lancet tool.
