Description

This Dreadnought distills the essential features of a great acoustic guitar into a budget-friendly form. Our Academy Series was designed with developing players in mind, so the goal was to create as comfortable a playing experience as possible. The guitar body pairs layered sapele back and sides with a solid Sitka spruce top, and incorporates a feature normally reserved for our premium instruments: a built-in armrest that softens the edge of the body’s bass-side lower bout to enhance the playing comfort. The patented Taylor neck features a slightly shorter 24-7/8-inch scale length, 1-11/16-inch nut width, and light gauge strings, which make fretting and bending strings easier. Tonally the Dreadnought’s body dimensions produce a bold response with a warm low end and punchy treble, making this a great option for strummers and flatpickers. Whether you’re at the front end of your guitar journey or just looking for a great strumming guitar without breaking the bank, the A10 will serve you well.

  • Luxurious beginner guitar!
I have tried PRS SE in the same price paint, but this Taylor just sounds so much better! Very well balanced, and came in perfect tuning. I was also in love with the gig bag, very sturdy and of high quality. You get a great guitar with a gig bag, for a very reasonable price.

  • Not a beginner's guitar - But every beginner needs one!
One of the nicest low cost Taylors I have. I love the built-in arm rest and the tone is pure Taylor!

  • Great Freaking Guitar
I'd give it six stars if I could. I'm not sure why they're advertising this as a beginner's guitar. I bought one locally (not on Amazon) and I've been playing for about 46 years, including a professional recording career...so I'm not a beginner...at all. This thing sounds better than all the other Taylors I played, some of which cost over 2-3k, and all the other guitars in the shop. Nobody wants a guitar that's difficult to play although some believe you'll get a superior tone that way. Not this time. ... show more

  • Worth the money!
This little guitar is so comfortable and easier to play than others I have owned. I am not that great at guitar honestly but because of the comfortable build my playing immediately improved. Did I mention is sounded way better than the mid range other brands I had and this is Taylor’s entry level instrument?! I want another one just because they sound and play so good! Worth it and I am a penny pincher lol ... show more
