This is by far the best chalk I have used thus far. I have only used Masters and the standard Predator before, not much difference between those two imo. I was skeptical of spending $20 for a piece of chalk. With that said, I still chalk after every shot and there is almost zero wear on the chalk after a week's play. Using Masters I would have already worn an x pattern on it. Zero residue on my hand, which I love. The chalk sticks to the tip great and the grip is excellent. Even if you don't chalk after every shot, I did test this and it stays on but chalking after every shot is part of my routine. With that said, performance of the chalk is excellent.     • Worth it!
I wish it were cheaper. But I'm still going to buy it again. This is the best chalk I have ever used!!! I have been using Magic Chalk for a few years because it is so much cleaner than Master, and I've tried several other premium chalks as well, but, after reading the reviews here, I thought I should try TAOM at least once. I cleaned all the blue chalk off my tips, reshaped them quickly, and went from there. It "feels" to be of similar consistency to MC. The very first things I noticed were the lack of noticeable chalk transfer to the cue ball and no "bridge" chalk on my fingers. My table is far cleaner as well. I think it is at least as forgiving as MC in terms of re-chalking, but the round shape makes proper application much easier. It is not for you "center of the cube" drillers of chalk. After a few days of use, on several cues with various tips (medium or harder) I can tell you that, if properly applied, it does not cake on the tip, has exceptional grip on both leather and layered tips, and makes my game more fun, despite the price. I can see a cylinder of it lasting 2-4 months of 1-3 hours of casual play almost daily. That lifetime is yet to be determined but my impression is that is at least as long lived as MC. The enclosing paper seems to have logical guides for trimming it back so as to prolong the useful lifetime of each cylinder of chalk. I'll edit this in 60 days or so in relation to that value factor. ... show more

    • Very clean, stays on the cue tip
This chalk leaves no marks on the cue ball, nothing on the cloth, my hands, or anywhere else. It's a very clean chalk that stays on the tip, it does seem expensive, but I've talked to people that have used it for a while, and it lasts for a long time, one player has had one piece for over a year, it is getting thin. To me it's worth it due to being so clean. I will purchase it again when I need more. ... show more

Price is high, but don’t need to chalk up as much. It’ll last on the tip for a bit longer and doesn’t leave much chalk residue on the balls and hands and much easier to clean off. Great product!

I've had the chalk for a short time. So far, it's good. It's very clean and goes on the cue tip very evenly--better than other good chalks I've used such as Kamui and Magic Chalk. Although I chalk my cue frequently (almost every shot), it seems to stay on longer than other chalks. I play in two leagues, so having a decent chalk is important to me. The biggest drawbacks are the price and the shape of the chalk. Because the chalk is round, I need to buy a different chalk holder than the square ones I have. Although I've read that it lasts a long time, I can't vouch for that because of the short time I've used it. Also, it better last long because the chalk itself is not very big. ... show more

This chalk is stellar. Period. The End. There are some higher priced chalks (believe it or not) but for the longevity and applicability of this chalk...I'll stick with this. Good stuff. Ask questions, Happy to answer..
