I had a long term sexual problem - wet dreams - too many wet dreams - for about 15. But I was still young at the time. This is ONE of the sexual problems Chia discusses and heals with this book. I tried the technique in the book for "healing" too many wet dreams, and it worked. This would probably be similar to premature ejaculation problem, but that was not my problem at the time. Chia says the very occasional wet dream is no big deal. But I was having them almost every other night; sometimes every night. I was pale, weak, and tired all the time. His technique works if you can follow it. He does assume that the reader has a libido. "Dr. Chia" advises us to use the libido to heal ourselves, so to speak. If the reader does NOT have a good libido, I would personally suggest going to a doctor, such as an ayurvedic doctor to get advice and herbs and dietary advice on helping the 7 dhatus become healthier. The reproductive tissues for men and women are the most difficult to treat, since we must treat the 6 lower levels of dhatus first. Reproductive is dhatu 7, and depends on the lower six levels being healthy first. This advice is gleaned from Ayurvedic medicine. ... show more

Very, very good, but problematic from a high level practitioners view. One must needs know details such as when to switch to practicing the "big draw" in the next level manner; to avoid creating tensions and thickened Qi. This is just one example. Enjoy the book and these great practices, BUT SEEK THE NEXT LEVEL BEYOND "MIND INDUCTION" TECHNIQUE ! So that you are not merely imitating the results... ... show more

The book arrived in fair to poor condition as advertised. I wanted to save a little money by buying less than fair condition. Also I enjoy the energy left on the book from previous readers. I have started reading this book alongside "Awaken Healing Energy Through the TAO" which is by the same author. I am learning quickly that there is definitely a progression with these books. So if your interested in learning more about this topic be sure to progress properly in order, so that damage may be avoided. ... show more

    • A more esoteric version of Taoist yoga practice
Mantak Chia is always comprehensive and detail in his approach, and has the good intention to keep (his version of) Taoist yoga practice alive and, hopefully, prosper. His sex-related books actually are selling better than his other chi-kung (and internal martial arts) or meditation books, probably there are more people in the west looking for multiple-orgasm than good health (both mental and physical) and high-level Taoist enlightenment towards psyche immortality. Or is it the case that his more sex-related books actually have been driving away people seeking advice on the other subjects? If the latter is more true, then that would be a pity, because his chi-kung (and internal martial arts) knowledge is excellent (probably one of the very best), his meditative approach is very good too, though sometimes, for Mantak's want of completeness, the presentation itself will likely to unduly complicate the practice. My advice: folks, don't be scared away by Matak's (over) insistence on practicing sex-alchemy as an essential part for his other practices. If you have no intention to complicate your sexual bahavior, go directly to Matak's other practices (and enjoy sex as usual). Back to main topic, concerning Matak's Taoist approach to sex. Suffice to say, it is NOT the mainstream sex approach in Taoist Yoga. Dual-practice is a side (esoteric even by mainstream Taoism, with or without using sexual energy/libido as stimulus) practice. And there are indeed two streams of Dual-practice, the more common dual-practice is a practice of meditation using a younger partner (applicable to middle-age and up male and female, for the purpose of a psyche stimulation of the libido), and practice with intercourse is the most esoteric version. So folks, I believe Mantak must have some good stuffs, but practice and know where you stand in Taoist tradition. There is in fact an important book available in the west that use sexual energy (or to use a more appropriate term, libido) as stimulus to promote ching Chi that is to be practiced in solo, using deep and pure meditation as an inducement. I was told that is a very time consuming way of practice, and probably that's way few people nowadays use this more mainstream approach, except some who have devoted their lives to practice and preach the stuff as a religion. By the way, the book I mentioned is Taoist Yoga: Alchemy & Immortality translated by Charles Luk (principally a leading Buddhist practitioner by profession). ... show more
