The factory furniture cam sploded and the local hardware store did not have the size that apparently all furniture is now using as these low profile ones from Amazon get the job done and require less material. In addition to the hardware store’s selection being way too thick, the diameters were all off(standard sized).     • An Important Product to have If You Are Assembling Knock Down Furniture
If you a purchasing knock down furniture you will find that they use a fastener called a "cam lock" to hold everything together. Unfortunately these cam locks are made from very soft metal and if you tighten them just a bit too tight they will break. This happened to me recently and since the manufacturer only gives you the exact amount of them, I was out of luck. I went to the hardware store and they had a few sizes but not in the size that I needed. I found this assortment of 100 pieces on Amazon and it had in it 25 of what I need. ... show more
