  • great doghouse
Size: M-Dog House
We should have ordered this years ago. Sturdy material, nice roof. Roof looks built to last, which is how our old doghouse died.

  • Works good just not the most sturdy
Size: L-Dog House
Works good. However we get extremely strong winds and it does blow over in them and falls apart

  • Cheap/ smell
Size: M-Dog House
I received This dog house today I cut open just the top of the box and the smell was so nasty I felt nauseous Also I pulled up a piece of the wood and saw how cheap it’s made. I don’t know how this is going to be weather proof? Not worth the $ Don’t theses company take pride in the product s anymore? Sorry I’m disappointed with the house. . ... show more

  • Looks good and easy to assemble, but runs SMALL
Size: L-Dog House
We have a 50 lb lab mix that we thought would fit in the large size house, but he does not. The roof is too low and the house is barely longer than he is. It was easy to assemble and looks nice, but the walls are thin so there is no way this would keep any animal warm in the winter. I would recommend for smaller dogs and get a size bigger than you think you need. I would also only use this in warmer climates, inside, or with a heater. ... show more

  • Better quality than most houses
Size: L-Dog House
Bought this for a feral cat group that we care for to give them shelter from bad weather. Large enough for all 5 to stay in. Construction is good for the most part with plenty of screws holding together the sides and flooring sections (slat construction) and looks good. I did have to replace the screws in the pre-installed hinge for the roof since they were loose and mostly stripped. Used larger screws to fix that, and would suggest deeper threads on any replacement screws you might buy and use. The floor slats are spaced to allow air flow for cooling in the summer and drying in wet weather. Would suggest using a pad on the floor. The adjustable feet are a nice touch to change the height if needed. The wood (assuming it's pine since the house smells like Pine-Sol) appears to only be treated with a stain and not sure how long it will stay looking nice and not start rotting if exposed to wet weather. You might want to paint or varnish (marine varnish) the house prior to using if it will be exposed to wet weather. We are trying it without doing that since the house in under a patio cover that mostly protects it. Would also suggest letting the unit air out with the roof up after assembling to let that Pine-Sol smell dissipate which takes a while. All in all, a better house than most all for sale in local pet stores. ... show more

  • NOT FOR LARGER DOGS
Size: L-Dog House
While its great for the rain, its definitely not meant for larger dogs. I have a pitt-rotty mix (female), and shes too big. Its a shame too, cause its a really nice dog house. Real wood, feels like refined pallet boards; VERY fragrant!

  • Hopefully this will be an "Indoor Shelter" from Scary Noises!!!
Size: L-Dog House
I purchased this dog house to put inside my home. One of my Jack Russell Terriers (9 year old/female) is terrified of loud noises (thunder, fireworks, loud cars, etc.). After years of her scratching at the walls/doors trying to "hide" and her latest...she figured out how to open the bottom drawer of our new gas stove and she tries to hide in the drawer. We have went to great lengths to protect our walls and doors...we had to have special wall covering installed and metal liners put on our doors to keep her from damaging the walls/doors). We even had a 1/2 door installed between our kitchen and living room so she cannot get into the living room unless we are home with her. We were very worried that she would hurt herself eventually trying to find a hiding space. We didn't know what else to do so we purchased this dog house hoping that she will find it useful as a hiding spot when she is scared. We have been encouraging her to go into the house just to learn that she can go inside and lay down. So far she's not interested. Now we are just waiting for the first scary event to happen to see if she'll seek shelter in the house. I will post an update to let everyone know how the house is working out. ... show more
