My boots just arrived, they are everything I was hoping for! I have a thin calf and these guys fit the bill, not overwhelming. Fit true to size and are so comfortable. Definitely a most have.

First off it runs 1/2 size small. I am a 7.5 and got this boot in an 8 which fits exactly as a 7.5. The color is definitely lighter than advertised but it is still very nice and compatible with a lot of outfits. It may be hard to tell in the photos, but the upper boot and calf area is HUGE. There is probably at least 1.5" space from the calf up that does not touch my leg. The advertised pictures make it look very sleek and form fitted which is what I wanted. These are not that at all. People say you can tighten the straps. No, I beg to differ. You cannot do this without wrinkling or folding the top back fabric which hits me right in the back bend of my knee and is extremely annoying as well as uncomfortable. This also makes the boot look weird when the top part is wrinkled and folded to try and fit it to your leg. See my last photo. It's still slightly folding from where I attempted this and then tried to correct it. It is also a very warm boot. Not sure I could wear it even in springtime or summer time with dresses or skirts because it gets pretty warm to me. I am disappointed that it is not a fitted boot, but I am trying to wear it anyways. I am 5'3" and it literally lands right in the bend of my knees. ... show more

I was looking for a riders boot that was stylish as I have a quite large sized foot as well as big calves, so often times it's hard for me to find cute boots! These were a perfect purchase, not only are they good for the Colorado snow, they are very stylish, the criss-cross in the back makes it almost for a sexy boot depending on your attire. Very comfortable as I am on my feet moving big items around for at least four hours a day and I don't have issue when using these shoes for this type of manual labor. Made with good material, you can tell it's of top quality and not cheap or flimsy. They are a universal wearing boot in that you can wear them will almost (expect elegant) any attire!
