  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Decent
I really wish the bluetooth function worked better. Can only connect to it once in a blue moon

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Great functionality, but so far, Terrible App
The device is easy to install if you know what you are doing. If you are like me that does not know much about electric work on a car, then you may have to do a lot of reading first before you take on this. The instructions that come on the device are for experienced guys that know this and kind of high level, again, if you are not familiar with hooking things up in the car, this may be too much. Now, don’t feel bad, I was one that didn’t know and I headed over to Tacom World, and read up on al things related... that’s what I did and was not too hard afterwards. Note that I installed this on a Tacoma 2019 and in addition to this, you will need a bracket from Caliraised and i also got a new face plate for the left Cubby section (look it up on the forum mention above) also from Caliraised. Once you do this is pretty easy and should work as advertised. I’m only connected to one accessory so far and love the fact you can dim down the brightness of that accessory, in my case I had the raptor-like lights and were a little too bright so with the switch, I was able to dim down the brightness. Also, I was able to save the setting so that when I turn on the truck again, it will remember the setting - pretty nice guys... I will play with other settings as I get more accessories, but so far the below is the only bad thing... Now to the bad stuff, the App is not bad... it’s “TERRIBLE” for a device over $500 bucks, the least you can expect is a good app. Well, this isn’t one. Every single action you perform on the app (click on an option, click next, click exit, go into a menu, even when you first open it), you will ge a “loading” page that takes a few seconds, so you click on anything, you’ll get stuck waiting for the screen to load. This is on an iPhone X. Totally unacceptable. I have emailed the vendor about this, but have not heard back yet. I will post an update if they can fix this. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Camping/recovery tool
I use the Bluetooth app control from my phone to control my lights, dual battery set up and rear cameras. I haven’t had any issues with the app or the SP-9100. I can’t tell you too much about the controller as I do not use it (because I use the app). The only CON is the Bluetooths distance. I can use my phone to control my lights and accessories from about 15 ft. Originally, I had all of my lights (4 light bars and 2 bumper lights) On 5 different switches in front of the shifter on my 2010 Tacoma. My set up worked out great till I was camping in a tent with just a lamp and I could hear something walking around in the wilderness. Now I can use the app to power my lights from my tent. Works especially great when I’m doing recoveries in the night and I need extra light when I’m outside winching. Plenty of uses. Can’t comment on the install as I had Dave from 4WP in Colorado Springs do the install. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
Very clever product. I have used several other relay based units. This beats them all. Very compact and rugged. Very configurable and able to handle lots of power. Very good instructions and the mobile app does the job. Not super slick but very functional. Not sure why people have so much trouble with it. I have a S20 and it works perfectly. Just wish the power cable was 5/16 so it fitted more PDC 12v connectors. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great product to consolidate and simplify your vehicle power accessories
I bought this product to consolidate all of my lighting switches on my 4Runner. The material and quality of this product is top-notch and there's nothing to complain about. The installation process took me about half a day (with lots of break times). It took me a while to figure out how to set this up with bluetooth, but in the end I found out I was pressing the wrong button and it's not the product's fault. At first I thought the Bluetooth was a marketing trick and doesn't have real world application (as the panel is just right there, within an arm's reach), but after the recent trip to Big Bear, CA where I let my friend take the wheel and I rode shotgun, I realized that with Bluetooth the passenger can help the driver control the lights, allowing driver to be more concentrated on the road! All in all, if you have (or planning to) install lights, compressors, fridges, etc in your rig, I definitely recommend this product. It is worth every penny of it! ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Would buy again.
Used this after two other controllers failed right out of the gate. This one works, can handle a decent load as well. I’m running 6 HID off-road lights, 8 led cubes, and 8 led strips. The only thing I will say to be cautious of is there are so many options and programming functions that it is a little daunting at first. Once you dial it in you won’t be displeased. Maybe the price but that’s just part of the game I suppose. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Had to resort to 3rd party YouTube videos, which were also not terribly detailed.
Don’t expect step-by-step instructions. The manual leaves a lot to be desired and assumes the intended audience is made up of shade tree electricians.
