Shaghaf Oud Aswad opens with an accord of floral, woody notes, and a touch of prized saffron. Combining the rose and jasmine with earthy patchouli and spices, each scented footstep leads to the golden prize. So this perfume is listed as Unisex, but to me is leaning femenine . I am a perfume collector and I had smelled hundreds of perfumes throughout the years and out of more than 300 bottles of perfumes I own , this is a good synthetic beast compared to others. And we all know the scent profile of this without smelling it because of the notes and because people claim it is similar to Lancôme Oud Bouquet. I bought it as a blind buy to compare and it is a beast. I think that the saffron note in this one is the most overpowering and the strong vanilla at the dry down. I think that although is not as refined , even more now since it was also reformulated, It is still a good option for the price point. Just wanted to add that I used to have the none reformulated/ discontinued version of Lancôme Oud Bouquet and I can tell you that the best economical and surprisingly best dupe of the original is Sheikh Al Shuyukh Luxe edition from Lattafa( see picture). That one is impressive in every aspect, price point, the quality and how smooth it is and that one my friends is what its called a beautiful Oud and caramel BEAST on projection, silage and overall performance. So back to this perfume ., It was delivered in a decent amount of time, well packed, no spills etc…I think it is nice and it has great projection, longevity, silage and a great overall performance. Very strong, long lasting, and incredible fragrance. The onset could feel like there is more to be desired. However, once past the first 5 minutes or so, this is an absolute blast to have. If spayed on clothes, expect a very pleasant scent engulfing your whole closet for days to come! Great blind buy if you haven't smelled it and are debating! I got shaghaf oud, if you want a beast mode oud forward fragrance here she is. I think it’s sexy, honestly kinda shook, I suspect I will need more time with this fragrance to truly appreciate it but rn I’m in awe of how different it is compared to my other fragrances. I purchased both Shaghaf Oud and Shaghaf Oud Tonka as a blind buy and I am just obsessed with both! First off I immediately noticed the quality with how rich and potent the scents were, a little bit goes a very long way. I can see myself using shaghaf oud in the colder months or for a nice evening out, it’s got a very deep warm and spicy vanilla with hints of coffee…this is what I am getting. Tonka for me is my favorite of the two, it’s heavier on the almond and cherry but also a bit tropical in a way it’s hard to describe but very captivating! I can see myself using this year round. Both scents are very unique to me and you can really smell the many layers. I really wanted to like this one after everyone SWORE it was the perfume they’d rescue from a house fire. I liked the initial scent right when I sprayed it on; a nice warm cherry almond. Once it dried down, the cherry disappeared and it turned into a powdery almond rose…aka old lady. Such a disappointment, last time I’m blind buying overhyped perfumes. ... show more
