I bought this stapler, but then they switched us to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll, I'll, I'll.... buy a new one on Amazon because it's a good deal. ... show more

Office Space is my all-time favorite movie and I was so happy to find such a great replica of Milton's stapler here on Amazon. Everyone in my office is well aware of how much I love the movie because I quote it back and forth with coworkers almost weekly. They have all been as impressed as I have with the stapler and a few of them stop by my desk just to use it. It's a bit heavier than your "typical" stapler, but it is sturdy, metal, and extremely smooth when it punctures stacks of paper. Easily one of the best purchases of my life. I bought this stapler and thought it would be high quality. It is a nice heavy stapler. First time using, it jammed and had to take a screw driver to pull out the jammed staples. After that, every time I staple once, it stays depressed and have to pull it apart and reset it. I tried the staples in a miniature stapler I had just to make sure there was nothing wrong with them and that stapler worked like a champ. 5 dollar stapler that is 2 inches compared to this 16 dollar hefty stapler. What the heck. I have been using a stapler a long time so I don’t think it is user error. Never had a problem with a Swingline stapler before. Is this iconic quality brand going the way of the neeer kitchen aide mixers? I sent an email to customer support and will update with outcome. It sure is pretty though. ... show more

    • Broke after light usage

We used this stapler once a week at most. After using it for about a year, it got jammed pretty badly, and after I removed the staples, it didn't work any longer. My husband tried to use it again, and it just got worse and worse. I contacted customer service about it. They said it was because I probably used the wrong staples, so they could not help me. She said I had to use a specific type of staples for this particular type of stapler or it will break. I wonder if everyone that buys Swingline staples always uses their staples. I even asked about how different their staples are compared to generic staples. They said it was the type of metal. Didn't seem to be a good explanation to me, but they probably just want to blame the staples instead of their staplers. I imagine that if this stapler was well-made, it wouldn't break after getting jammed after one year of light use. I am very disappointed in their customer service. They lost a customer, and I won't recommend this stapler to anyone in the future. ... show more

Love this stapler. It's well built, heavy, feels good in your hand, and the classic red is a must have for any cubicle employee. I get compliments on it regularly, usually followed by a brief Office Space quote exchange which is always fun. It's a red stapler that works and looks awesome. 5-stars. Heads up, this stapler uses special staples. You must use Swingline Staples, Premium, S.F. 4, 0.25 Inch Length, 210 Per Strip, 5,000 Per Box (S7035450) . Anything else will most likely jam the stapler and you'll spend 20 minutes meticulously stabbing your new red beauty with the teeth of a staple remover cursing every Swingline employee for not making every stapler the same universal size... and no one wants that. ... show more
