I spent an inordinate amount of time comparing baby floats and reading users' reviews before settling on the Swimways one, and am very happy with my choice. Our five-month old granddaughter was a little small for it--she was not yet sitting up well--but the product is clearly labeled to be for older babies. The design of the float is great. The seat is fabric, not plastic; the design makes it very safe; a mesh panel between the top two inflatable rings allows the baby to splash the water; the canopy is a must for these little ones; and the fact that it folds up after use is brilliant. This is pretty cool I like that it fold and can be packed up easily. It does collect a lot of sand so shake it out if you do to the beach. It fits in suitcase with out taking up a lot of space and you can through in diaper bag

i just recently purchased this for a friend with a baby. i tried a million different floaties in my young mom days and this is by far the best one. i’ve gifted it many times and i’ve only heard rave reviews. it keeps baby enough in the water to keep them cool while easily keeping their upper shoulders and head safely out of the water. it’s great that it can be inflated and deflated in less than two mins and it dries quickly too. i loved that i could fold it up small and take up almost no room in the pool bag. the shade attachment is so great for helping to keep baby’s skin safe. i highly recommend this floatie! ... show more

I ordered this when Amazon had a sale but unfortunately I received a damaged product. There was a tear in the outer fabric that I knew would allow the float to become waterlogged so I returned it. Unfortunately I needed it right away and I couldn't wait for another order (and risk another dud), so I bought one at a box store with a gift card instead. Review of the float itself (that I bought elsewhere): it really is a very nice float for swimming with baby. I was debating between this one and the Intex My Baby Float and I'm really glad I got this one, mainly because of the sun canopy. It makes a huge difference in protecting baby from the sun, especially when the sun glasses or hat gets pulled off and chewed on. ;) I also like the low profile of the spring float and that I can swim it around with baby inside - it's just enough support to make it easier for me to keep afloat without sinking it. I didn't bother spending the extra money on one that comes with toys because I can just give baby a rubber duck or any floating toy and the mesh layer between the rings of air will keep toys in reach. Baby was 11 months old when I got it and loved it for a month, but now wants more independence and me to hold her in the water (wearing a life jacket) so she can splash around more. The way the leg holes are forward in the mesh seat causes baby to recline in it, which is probably a safety feature, but it would be nice if there was an option to adjust it so a more independent baby can sit up more and splash their hands in the water between the air rings. I can make this happen by leaning on the front of the float and helping baby lean forward, but she slides back again when I let go. The life jacket with flotation only in the front (again, a safety feature) also contributes to the reclining effect, however, so it's not just the float design. I would definitely use this again with the next baby, probably starting even younger if the weather permits. Our 9 month old son LOVES this float. He enjoyed it for over an hour for his first time using it. He loves that his legs are free and he can kick. We put some light weight pool toys on the mesh ring and he had so much fun. It provides great shade and is very durable. It is not flimsy at all. We love that you can adjust the shade tarp with easy straps! We live in south Florida where it gets super hot. Summer is coming and this will help so much to keep our son out of the intense sun but still allows for him to be apart of family activities!! Thank you for a great product! ... show more

Easy to assemble and take down. It's light for travel. The shade is the best part because you can switch it when the sun moves directions. Baby girl loves it. I would recommend it for sure.

Bought for a beach trip. My son was almost 6 months so instead of buying the 3-6, I bought the 6 month and up. It worked fine but if I could go back, I would’ve bought the smaller size. I just wanted to potentially get more uses out of it.

The floating part was fine but the part where the child sits, needs an upgrade! The mesh lining was awful to deal with in the water, the opening was very big; I just feel it was unsafe
