Description

Channels sweat away from your eyes Colors: Frost, Smoke, and Hydro Ditch Those Soggy SweatbandsAnyone who has ever caught an eye full of sweat knows that it’s painful, impedes performance, and is potentially dangerous. You’ve tried traditional sweatbands, so called “high-performance” headbands, bandannas and the like. They all got soaked, stop working, and let sweat to drip in your eyes and on your glasses. There has to be a better solution.Reinventing the SweatbandAbsorbing sweat with fabric is pointless. Saturation and failure is just a matter of time. The thought of a rain gutter led to an idea. Could that basic technology work for a sweatband? Why absorb sweat when you can simply redirect it? Countless prototypes later, a different kind of sweatband was created—one that uses a channel to keep sweat away from your eyes and never saturates. It’s called the Sweat GUTR.The Sweatband That Never SaturatesThe Sweat GUTR is the only sweatband designed to withstand any amount of sweat. Because it’s not made from fabric, it never stops working. It blends the efficiency of a rain gutter within an ultra-comfortable sweatband system. The soft plastic gently adheres to your forehead without feeling tacky. The elastic and Velcro closure system adjusts easily for a perfect fit. It’s so lightweight and comfortable that you’ll forget it’s there. The low profile design allows for the maximum amount of air circulation, minimizing your chances of overheating. It fits comfortably with most helmets and does not interfere with glasses. With the help of customer feedback, the sweat channel has been lengthened for improved eye clearance. Sweat GUTR is completely resistant to sweat, so washing is not required—just rinse and go. This is The Ultimate Sweatband.Never QuitGUTR continuously explores new ways to use and improve GUTR Technology. Like you, GUTR believes in products that work better and never give up.Benefits and Technical InformationNever saturates—no more soggy sweatbandsChannels sweat away from eyes and glassesElastic and Velcro comfort closure system for exact sizingSleek, low profile design for maximum air flowWorks great with most helmets and headwearImproved, longer sweat channel at 7 3/4”Extremely lightweight at 0.8 ozEasy care—just rinse and goOne-size-fits-all

  • After Several Uses, I rate the GUTR Sweatband a WINNER!
I read a lot of reviews before I purchased my GUTR, and I'm glad I bought it. I had a lot of trouble with sweat dripping inside my sunglasses on my cycling rides, especially since I love to ride in very hot weather. While you're still going to sweat - even underneath the band - it cut down my problems immensely. I'm reviewing this after using it on six very hot rides. I'd like to add a few notes: 1. Make sure it is secured snugly, but not too tight. I had a splitting headache and I stopped, loosened the band a bit, and the headache went away. 2. Make sure that the Velcro is secured. I didn't secure it much and the band almost fell off. That's my fault, and I won't make that mistake again. 3. I've been reading reviews from people who said the band had a bad odor - it doesn't at all - make sure you rinse it in water after each use. I think the people who made that comment need to examine their own foul hygiene practices. ... show more

  • Sweat in Your Eyes? Not Anymore!
Color: Smoke
What can I say...this product shocked me! I purchased it because of the price thinking "What the heck. I'll give it a try." and I have been nothing but overwhelmed with the effectiveness of the GUTR. It does exactly what it is supposed to and keeps the sweat out of my eyes perfectly. I am a 49 year old chubby dude getting in shape for a 1/2 Marathon and I sweat like a demon. Years ago when I ran more and was much lighter I would wear regular sweatbands, but they would always become soaked through and eventually would be useless for keeping sweat from my eyes. The GUTR has been nothing short of amazing. That's all I can truly say...amazing! I've used it for approximately half a dozen runs, ranging from 3 miles, up to 7 and not once have I had to wipe sweat from my eyes. For me it runs behind my ears and down the back of my neck, while odd feeling at first I quickly adapted and now think nothing of it. Great product if you're a sweater...like me! ... show more

  • The best I have found for keeping sweat out of my eyes while cycling
I have tried several other methods of trying to keep the sweat out of my eyes while road cycling; this one is the best. All the others saturate and eventually drip onto my glasses or into my eyes. I ride a lot, live in the SE US where it is hot and humid so it some time seems like it's raining off of me. You will need to adjust the tightness and placement on your head to avoid a headache or lack of a seal against your skin. There are three bands to choose from and adjustment with Velcro loops that make enough room for even my XL head. I have found that if it gets uncomfortable I can move it up or down on my forehead while moving and find a comfortable position. It channels the sweat to the side of your face very well and my glasses stay generally dry now. It should work in any activity where you keep your head up so that gravity can do it's work. ... show more

  • still get sweat in your eyes
Color: Smoke
this helps but for those who furrow there brows when they run. it's terrible. I frown allot when i run, also notice having a big head sucks. the 'guter' system thins and flattens when its towards the center of your head. this means the amount of sweat that drops into it will pool out of it and not out of the sides. at first this works, i feel the sweat drippings and hitting my temples and down the side of my neck. its annoying but better than having to take off my glasses and wiping my face with sweaty shirt or hands. but i can tell this head ban will flatten in time and i have been getting larger amount of sweat falling off the headband and onto my glasses. this, defeats the purpose of having it entirely. but this still works better than most only thing i can see to improve on this is to make the 'lip' around the curvature of the center band where the forehead would be, reach out more, and possibly thicker rubber. this may make it look of feel less effective but it would improve on the ability to prevent sweat from dripping out of the band, i also learn that if you angle the sides downwards it helps pull the sweat away from the center as it would pool and drip. besides this issue its good, but it will leave a mark on your forehead, do not believe the video you may have seen. its crap. ... show more

  • Works great for me!
Color: Frost
There is mixed reviews on here...Im glad i gave this product a shot though. Im the type of person that starts sweating even thinking about heat or exercise. Im talking fountains of sweat, steady streams. When I was a few miles into my bike rides there was literally a drop of sweat flying off my nose at least every two seconds. To top it off, my tight fitting oakleys would get sweat all up the inside of them messing with my clarity of vision. Took some playing around with the sizing of these but I found my sweet spot and I can wear this for hours. I know this product is working for me, because when I'm riding I can feel the sweat flowing down my cheeks on either side, safely out of my eyebrows, sunglasses, and eyes path.Does some sweat get by? Yes. Does it sometimes get uncomfortable? Yes. However my cycling experience is immeasurably better with it than it is without it. I kow this product is working for me, because when I'm riding I can feel the sweat flowing down my cheeks on either side, safely out of my eyebrows, sunglasses, and eyes path. ... show more
