Description

The Transitional Swaddle Sack is the easiest & safest way to wean baby from a traditional swaddle. The arms up sleeve design allows baby to self-soothe and the unique ½-length sleeves with foldover mitten cuffs closed provide partial suppression of the Startle Reflex to promote better sleep. Importantly, the patented design is safer because baby can use their arms if baby rolls over during sleep. The Transitional Swaddle Sack is ideal for babies who prefer to sleep with arms up, babies who are starting to rollover, and babies who break out of a traditional swaddle. The uniquely-shaped, ½-length sleeves are not full length, so when mitten cuffs are closed, baby’s arms will be flexed close to body for swaddle snugness. The foldover mitten cuffs may be worn open or closed. Caregiver can open one or both cuffs, so baby can self-soothe by sucking directly on hand. Helpful 2-way zipper with 2 zipper pulls. The zipper zips down from the top to make it easy to place baby in the sack and zips up from the bottom to make it easy to change baby’s diaper. Designed by a nurse. My baby loved being swaddled, we used the Halo swaddle every single night and she slept 6-8 hour stretches. Around 10 weeks she started to bust her arms out and I noticed she was sleeping with her arms above her head. So I decided to order this transition swaddle sleep sack and she loves it! The very first night she slept 8 hours in it, and now we’re on night 4 and she still loves it. Thankfully it made the transition from the swaddle no big deal! Sizing is really accurate also, my baby is 12lb 12oz, and 23 inches. Fabric is soft and well made and I love the double zipper option if I need to do a nighttime diaper change, and it seems to keep her warm but not too hot. I first ordered a knockoff version of this transition swaddle, and it was huge, loose-fitting, with long arms. That’s not what you need in a swaddle product! These are true to size and provide just the right amount of startle suppression for a 3-month-old working on rolling. They are safe for rollers, not too hot but not too thin, comfy, cute, and don’t constrain the hips. Overall, we have loved using these transitional swaddles with our first child. We put him to sleep in this when he started showing signs of rolling, and he loved having his arms a bit more free! In fact, we liked these so much we purchased a second one so that we could have a spare while we washed one. Our baby is now 5 months, 17 pounds and 26 inches and he is still fitting well in the medium size. We did notice that after a few washes the swaddle shrunk considerably, but he still fits in it for now so I’m not too upset. Due to the shrinkage, however, the zipper is now all warped and bubbles out when baby wears it. It’s not so bad that we feel the need to discontinue use, but it is very noticeable. In summation, we have really loved these transitional swaddles. We especially like how easy it is to pop his hands/arms out of the sleeves in case we want to keep him bundled up but let him play for a minute. Ok, I am writing this review because I am so tired of people leaving a bed review because the sleeve length is short.... and because someone's baby being in the middle sizing range, so they went with the bigger one and they are upset. The sleeves are 1/2 sleeves they are that way to keep your babies' arms close to their bodies (WHICH DOES HELP WITH STARTLE REFLEX). NO this product is not meant to CONSTICT YOUR BABY like it's in a strait jacket or by SWADDLING HIM. This is supposed to allow your baby to move a little and get used to no having a swaddle making it so they can't move at all. My Son LOVES THESE!!!!!! 100% i honestly think that they are perfect. I would only use them though with hands in because yes it does seem a little tight if you try to pull their arm through and I personally would hate to see something happen. But go from swaddling to this and then to a sleep sack with sleeves but the arms are free and then no sleeves and then eventually BLANKET TIME! I have said my piece goodnight. ... show more

I’m disappointed because his right hand always escapes and then gets cold at night so now if I use this sleep sack I have to put a sock on that hand. Other than that I like it and the zipper works nice but it just sucks

My 5 1/2 month old started resisting the weighted swaddle as she began staring to roll over. I bought this and since first wear, she slept for longer stints of time. It’s not too thick, not too light — keeps her warm and goes perfect over her pj’s. Love it! Worth every penny.
