  • I would recommend this
This is an awesome telescope for price being only 60 dollars right now The lens are crystal clear and the stand is sturdy. On a clear night you can see the moon and even some craters Here are 2 photos I took of the moon. Note: the pictures are slightly blurry due to me using a phone.

  • Decent value, but low power.
Only 20X magnification, flimsy tripod, but adequate given the price. I replaced the tripod with one for my camera that is sturdier.

  • Perfect for kuds
I got this for my granddaughter’s 7th birthday. She and her sister put it together and they love it! Their mom called to say how great it was.

  • Great starter telescope
Great starter...was able to see the moon really well and could even make out some of Jupiter's moons, but no further detail. For 60 bucks, you could do a lot worse. Great for younger kids, teens and up might get tired of it a little quicker though.

  • Unable to use
This was a gift I gave but the family was unable to make work correctly. Sad to say that by the time they mentioned it, it was too late to return.

  • Great for kids
Good for a beginner. Just wish it moved a little smoother when trying to sight your object. Must use to softest of touch until your object is in the cross hairs! Still I have to say this is a good product for small children to get introduced to looking at the moon and build their interest in space. My son absolutely loved being able to see the surface of the moon and the craters on it. ... show more

  • kids need guidance for assembly & use
It's a "telescope for kids" but this is too complicated for younger kids to assemble and safely use independently, especially during initial use. Both my teen daughter and my younger son are my astronomy fans. My teen daughter did the assembly of this telescope and showed my younger son how to adjust the lenses and tripod securely. Not that he's ready to be able to independently use this telescope by himself yet. Including going out the backyard by himself at night to use this. It was a sight seeing both of them take turns looking through this telescope and awed by the different constellations they could see more clearly with this. Viewing the moon closer with this was quite neat too. Even I was enthralled by it, when I took a peek of it through it. Recommended. ... show more
