I wanted a scope to use for astrophotography . I didn't want to break the bank. This scope fills the bill. It's not a APO but you won't hardly notice it in your photos. I'm very pleased with the pictures I've been getting with this scope. If you have extra money to spent, put that money on mount that your buy, that is even more important than the scope. anyway I think it is a great little scope and at f7 a petty fast good light gatherer. If you plan to take pictures make sure you get the .8 field flattner... ... show more

  • Like it for smaller objects.
I do like this scope. It's very light weight. It's Easy to focus and I liked the fact that it comes with the field flattener. The images are not as crisp as my other scope but still does a nice job for smaller objects in the night sky that require a longer focal length. I do still need a lot more time with it trying different filters. ... show more
