There were no instructions with the screen! Only took a few minutes to figure out how it works, but some kind of instructions or link to a website about the product would be helpful! It's also very difficult to see in bright sunlight, but better than no screen at all! 😉

I have the original GOPRO version of this that IS the touchscreen version. Just needed something to connect to that would allow me to see the field of view when mounted to my motorcycle. This fits the need. Nice unit and nice price. Happy with the purchase.

    • It's useful, but...
If you're looking for a cheap LCD screen for your GoPro Hero 4 (Black), then it would be best to search elsewhere. The Screen i purchased wasn't dinged, scratched or damaged at all, so that was a plus, unfortunately I can't rate that for this listing. First Problem; The Battery Life isn't great... in fact it doesn't have any battery life since it siphons the battery power from your GoPro Hero 4 BLACK. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue 'IF' the screen is designed to only SIP power from your GoPro HERO 4 BLACK's battery. This, however is NOT the case, since normally a standard battery for the GoPro HERO 4 BLACK gives you anywhere from 01H:30M:00S (+/-) to 02H:10M:00S (+/-). HOWEVER, with this LCD Screen Attachment hooked up to the camera, that record time is cut to around 00H:15M:00S (+/-), to 00H:45M:00S (+/-), which is just a bit over half (at the extreme) of the cameras standard record time with normal video recording (WIDE angle was used with 1080p resolution at 30Fps). Next is the Touch Screen; The Touch Screen has no touch capabilities, which is probably a good thing since its more fragile that a cat's nerves when you put your face up to it while it sleeps and sneezing (maybe that's only my cat that freaks out when that happens). If you still feel like purchasing this screen attachment, then BE WARNED, this screen WILL BE THE FIRST THING TO BREAK, that is IF you can handle the headache this screen brings from constantly draining your batteries through normal recording. Now, for the VALUE for the MONEY YOU'RE PAYING; this may come as a shock, but this screen attachment ISN'T WORTH IT. Let me explain, GoPros are known as 'ACTION CAMERAS', and are primarily used for activities that are associated with 'Highly Active Sports' (such as Skydiving, Skiing, Mountain Biking, etc.). Even if the screen doesn't crack/break, which is possible with the Water Proof Back Attachment for the GoPro HERO 4 BLACK's waterproof case, since if something hits it with enough force (like a zooming baseball at a baseball game) the protective attachment can/will shatter and cause some serious damage to the screen itself, that is if the impact doesn’t outright destroy the screen. Not to mention the constant draining of the batteries will see you stopping every what you’re doing every 00H:15M:00S to 00H:30M - 35M:00S to change the battery so you don't miss any bit of the action you’re trying to record on what could possibly be your one vacation that you’re allotted every one, two, three years or even longer, depending on your profession. 2.33/5 STARS; Do yourself a favor and try searching for a batter screen attachment... or invest in a butt-load of extra batteries. ... show more

I got the screen but only one dust/waterproof cover. The one that I got did not fit my GoPro Hero 3. After contacting the seller about my issue they immediately sent out a replacement cover.     • Nice to know what your pointing at!
The set I purchased came with the LCD screen and two case extensions. The LCD screen works fine. It's nice to actually see what your pointing the camera at, however I cannot find how to play back the videos that were just taken. One case extension fit good as it should however the other case looked like it came from a completely different manufacturer and wasn't even close to the proper fit. The case was larger all the way around and would not even fit on the go pro housing for the Hero 3+. The stainless or what appeared to be stainless buttons were very small much smaller than the originals and did not line up with the cameras buttons. I threw that case in the trash so I have no pictures to show. The whole idea was to be able to move the camera around to different mounts with the LCD screen on it so I wouldn't have to set up the different mounts each time.     • Good if you don’t want to use the app as your choice for GoPro screen
I have a screen less Hero 3+ and I always struggled because I was not able to see what I was shooting at. This screen mostly fixed that problem at a decent price. It fits very well on my camera an the included case also fits perfectly (2 cases included). The only con I have is that it is difficult to see the image in the screen under the sunlight while filming but somehow it happens on almost each camera and cellphone so it’s Ok. Also take in consideration that additional batteries will be necessary, they probably last about 50% of the time they last without the screen ... show more
