  • Provides a more comfortable ride for a taller rider.
Color: Black Size: 5" Rise
Love the handlebar! It's awesome! I bought this handlebar with the intention of improving my posture and allowing me up be a lot higher up than my previous Handlebar which was a flat handlebar from huffy, which intially I wish I replaced in the first place but didn't have the money at the time for. I am really happy, with it. I watched a video recently and they mentioned if you slouch forward a lot than as you get older it causes you to have back problems and later on creates a back hump so in turn it making one look like a camel, which I certainly don't want. So going back to my handlebars this new 5" rise handlebar compared my old one was a flat handlebar, and the stem was Pretty short like 3 inches too short for me. So I then decided to look for something better. When I was shopping around for handlebars I also looked for a new quill stem and quill stem extension and threaded headset. The handlebar search did have me on the fence between a 3 inch rise and 5 inch rise, and after a lot of back forth, I realized 2 inches more made way more sense, helping me be more comfortable as my riding is more of just commuting and riding for fun and excercising not racing, which made me ask myself why on Earth would Huffy put a flat handlebar and such a short stem, then it came to me because they can, for a low cost to consumers like myself, just to make money. Which is really making me rethink Department store bikes, but then on the other hand this bike works for my needs, for now, but I may look at getting a used beginners Cannondale,Trek, Specialized or Giant bicycle, or at least an aluminum frame and fork, and I'd say goodbye to my huffy, but will see So I went with a a stem that had an additional 4 inches and that made a huge difference along with the 5 inch raised handlebar. The flat handlebar was a race type handlebar and my bike is a Huffy it’s a commuter bike, not a race bike like a trek, Giant or Specialized or other brands. So for me the raised handlebar did exactly what I needed it to do. Now my bike will be much more fun and comfortable to ride. And I have ridden my bike a couple times and I love it, I have never been more comfortable. See the old handlebar while it was great it wasn't great for my arm length, and I know my bike isn't made for true mountain biking, but it's not intended for racing ether. Great fun bike for fun and commuting. Plus I think this handlebar makes this bike look more like it came custom than a department store. ... show more

  • Good choice for comfort handlebars.
Color: Black Size: 3.5" Rise
For the price, the weight and finish of this handlebar was very reasonable. Although I returned it for a lower rise set after realizing these were too high, I can recommend this pair if you are looking for a good part at a decent price. They are much lighter than I expected for a steel bar. The finish is consistent and the bend radii are smooth. The shape does not have a lot of sweep to it, so the primary effect is to raise the hand position. This will be more comfortable if you are wanting to carry less of your weight on your hands. But the lack of sweep means that the actual reach to the grips may more extended and therefore not as comfortable. If you want less weight on your hands AND a more upright position, I woul suggest a pair with more backsweep. ... show more

  • They do the job
Color: Black Size: 5" Rise
I needed handlebars with more rise but on a budget. These fit the bill nicely. The bike I put them on is used for neighborhood, sidewalk, road and urban riding. I have no concerns about them not being able to handle the job. If you're looking to shed weight from your bike, these are not the handlebars for you. I am overall satisfied with them for the intended use. ... show more

  • I have a similar bar on a f.s. bike, and now on a rigid bike, good bar
I used this to replace a conventional shallow-rise mtb bar. It is noticeably heavier (maybe half a pound) but I love the more upright position and the nice sweep of the bars. It's not as drastic as it looks in the photo without a bike. It is just right for XC and some trails, still low enough to move fast in the city streets, not too wide to ride singletrack. You can knock off 1 or 1.5 inches per side with a clamp and hacksaw if you want, and still keep decent grips and trigger shifters. The bar grip area is 7.5 inches before the curve starts. I am pleased all around with this bar. It is not too heavy for a cross-country bike (unless you're a weight weenie, then get a carbon-fiber stick of a bar, not a steel riser bar. Jump carefully!). It looks best with a no-rise stem, especially a "moto" stem or 50mm short stem, instead of the phallic looking 120mm riser stems sold on so many bikes today. Moving your bar close to the center of rotation works wonders for reducing arm fatigue and speeding up steering response. It will work with your existing stem, though, if you have a 25.4 clamp area. It has a good looking, thick chrome finish, if you're into that. If not, you can sand this with progressive grits and take the sheen off without flaking it, or just grind it with a 60 grit and black it out with some primer. The bends are well done without visible crimps, and the symmetry is good. (Do the 13-speed crowd have ass-metric bars yet? hahhaha) I feel like this bar gives me more power to pedal, especially when standing and climbing. I can still get low enough in corners by just bending my elbows a little more, and focusing on counter steering techniques. I bought 2 because for $5, I could get 4 of these for the price of a generic stick bar, and I now have a spare, or one to convert a friend's bike to a proper bar. Good stuff! Thanks to Niagara Cycle and thanks, Pyramid. ... show more

  • Does the trick to sit more upright
Color: Black Size: 5" Rise
Does the trick to help you sit in a more upright position. They do make a creaking sound sometimes when enough forces are applied to them. Plenty strong enough for an everyday Rider of normal weight. Heavier riders and serious trailriders may want to look for a stronger handlebar.

  • Made my e-bike much more comfortable
Color: Black Size: 5" Rise
The one thing I have to note I disliked, after purchasing a second one, I discovered one of the two was smaller than the other. This one was actually the three and a half inch rise, had the wrong sticker. The second one is the 5-in.

  • Nice bar replacement for my Raleigh hybrid
Color: Chrome Size: 3.5" Rise
This was a nice replacement for the rusted handlebar on my Raleigh Detour 3.5 hybrid bike. I had a local bike shop cut off 1 inch from each end which was perfect for my preferred riding position.

  • A nice well priced mid rise handlebar
Color: Black Size: 5" Rise
I like it. Good bends. I added a cross bar which makes it super rigid.
