UPDATE: I've used the vase consistently for almost one year. It's been a great piece in almost every respect. However, there must be cracks in the finish inside the vase. What started out as a mildew spot or two grew to encompass most of the interior bottom and lower sides of the vase. I've been noticing the stems of my flowers molding lately and we live in a very dry climate. I wash the vase in between uses, to make sure it's clean and sanitary. Anyway, I washed the vase as usual, then put white vinegar inside to try and kill the mold. It didn't work. The mold is still clearly visible now, even after the treatment and two days in strong sunlight. I'm going to try resealing the vase's interior and see what happens. If that doesn't work, it will become a dry flower vase or a garden piece. So, if you buy it, you might want to treat the inside first with a sealant. I wanted a taller vase that didn’t “steal the show”; something that blended in and let the flowers shine. I was also tired of seeing murky water in clear vases after a bouquet was on its way out, even after changing the water, cleaning off stems, etc. This vase met all my specs.
