The value you get for this product is wonderful - it will take you hours and hours to complete it, and it's very relaxing and soothing. It is super easy to do, even for a non crafty person. The paint is all ready to go in neat little paint pots marked with their color number. You do need to wet your brush and add a drop of water to the paint pot to make it a little thinner as the paint is very thick and gooey and would be too hard to use as is as well as you would most likely run out of the color is you wouldn't thin it down. Just add a drop of water and stir it up and ready to go. There are a variety of brushes and it's best if you use the thin brush to outline each area first, then go in with the wide flat brush to stroke large areas to save some time but still do it neatly and within the lines. This picture is a little forgiving, so nobody will notice if you mess up a little or paint outside the lines. My only complaint is that some of the preprinted red numbers on the canvas for knowing which color to use in that section are so, so, so tiny it's almost impossible to read, or tell the difference between numbers like 8 and 6. But again, in this painting if the numbers are super duper tiny, it's because that section to paint is super tiny as well, so would people notice if you use the wrong shade of blue (let's be real, most of this painting is blue, blue and more blue)? Is this the best paint by number ever? Not even close. But for approximately $9 what else could you expect? It comes as advertised, with no frame. The paint was decent quality. I didn't have any that were dried out and the few I've used already have respectable coverage. Not the best ever, but not bad. The included brushes get the job done. The design is unique and very pretty. I hate that these ship folded instead of rolled, but a quick press under a low heat iron takes care of the creases before you get started. ... show more

Overall, this is a great little kit. But be warned that you will need to purchase a frame or something to display it; it only comes with the canvas and not framing equipment. With that said, it's a nice paint-by-number set. Like with most paint-by-numbers, though, you'll need to watch how much paint you use, and you might need to get a little creative if you use too much of one color. Luckily, it's pretty easy to get new paint from the store if you need it, and these kits are pretty forgiving if you don't follow the sections exactly. This is a no-frills paint by numbers kit. I typically buy my kits from Michael's, and this one seems comparable. The design itself is probably intermediate. It includes the paints, brushes, a smaller paper map, and some pins so you can hang it up. My only qualm is that the numbers are printed onto the canvas in different shades, which definitely helps with determining the boundaries of each number, but I worry the paint won't stay on, or you will need to paint multiple layers to cover up the shading. ... show more

Decent quality supplies, all things considered, but this is a bit of a project because it's got so many small, separated number spots that can be difficult to work with (I legitimately feel like I am losing my mind working on this). Not sure if I'll have the patience to finish this in the intended way, and will likely branch out and do some color blending to smooth out the process and make it easier on myself. ... show more

This paint by number is very pretty. The canvas is not only numbered but also color coded, the paint colors are really nice and the brushes while still the normal cheap ones are pretty standard for this type of paint kit. Just wish there were more fine tipped brushes for the smaller details.

I received the mushroom paint by number kit undamaged and folded. I wish these kits would come rolled up rather than folded, because they would have creases in them. The kit comes with multiple little paint pods, a small image of the picture, and also a paper version of the paint by numbers to help guide you. Once you paint over the numbers on the large canvas painting, you will need the paper version in case you paint over some of the smaller numbered areas and need a reference. This is my first paint by numbers and it is VERY time consuming. You need to hunt each number to paint them based on the color of each paint pod. I already paint and thought this can help me get back into painting since I found the mushroom picture magical and beautiful. Unfortunately it’s taking me twice as long as it normally would if I just painted it on my own. I understand it’s because the kit forces you to follow the color guide to paint an exact replica. Nevertheless I think having patience will really be worth it, because the overall picture will look beautiful! Overall, I am happy with this purchase. I feel it will get me back into painting and I will have a lovely picture in the end. ... show more

Pretty cool paint kit to sit back and relax and paint. These will take you quite a while. The numbers showed through on the light paint colors but I just did two coats. Overall a really fun project and you get a lot for the price
