Having unpacked it recently, this is more of an initial impression review. This mattress arrived a day early, which was impressive considering the current circumstances with the outbreak of COVID-19. Immediately, I could tell this was likely a quality mattress due to its weight. The queen mattress weighs over 100lbs, so those smaller, less fit, or people going up stairs might want to acquire some assistance in handling the box. I had a short distance to move it on a single level, so I wrestled it into place in my living room where it would decompress. Upon opening the box, you'll find an envelope containing the warranty card with basic instructions, and a cheap little letter opener, which broke when I snagged the lower layer of plastic in the wrapping. I recommend a good quality pair of scissors for opening the bag. It comes in a box containing a vacuum plastic bag that is rolled up with another layer of plastic. First, cut and unroll the external layer, unrolling the vacuum bag in the process. Avoid puncturing the vacuum bag. Position the mattress where you want it, then cut through the end of the vacuum bag. It doesn't explode or anything, but it expands fairly rapidly. The paperwork that came with it says to give it 24 hrs to expand, but on the Amazon listing it says 72 hrs. Within several hours it had expanded to nearly 14.5 inches in total height. There is no discernable off gassing from the foam, so it smells rather neutral. The bamboo fabric is very soft and feels great. There are two handles on each side for easy manuevering. The foam nearest the top surface is very soft, but laying on it reveals that there is good support underneath. Some people complain about lack of support on the edges, and while they are not especially firm, they are good enough for me. They give enough to keep me on the edge without falling off, even if I do sink down a bit. Laying flat, near the edges reveals there's plenty of support, that is, you won't roll off the bed if you lay towards the edge. I also feel no tendency to roll to the center. I would rate the mattress in the medium firm category - it feels like a nice balance between softness and support. This mattress feels more comfortable than my last conventional queen size mattress purchased from Costco for a similar amount 15 years ago. It's a similar thickness, but the fabric is higher quality and it's softer, yet supportive. As it arrives, I think most people would find this a great option for a new or replacement mattress. The initial build quality is impressive and it appears to be a great value. The 120 night guarantee and the 10-year warranty go a long way towards easing my mind. Let's just hope I don't need to use it, and if so, the customer service is as good as the reviews suggest. If I have any issues as it ages, I'll be sure to update this review. ... show more

I've tried other mattresses but this one is by far the most comfortable. The pillow top is real cushy and plush and the mattress is sturdy, well made and has handles on the sides. I love it and would highly recommend it.

I looked for a new mattress for almost a year. We even went to brick and mortar stores and tried out mattresses and almost purchased a $2000 bed. Finally I couldn't wait anymore and just made a decision based on reviews and articles that I had read. I am heavier (180+) and my partner has chronic spinal back pain. I sleep hot and he hates to be cold. So as a general rule, I don't like pillow top and he doesn't like memory foam. I ordered this and figured that if we didn't like it, we'd give it to our teenager. For starters, we unrolled it and left it on the floor for a week because it didn't come with instructions. In that time we sat and laid on it and I was sure I was not going to like it. The top seemed too soft and the edges didn't seem to hold up to me perching there. The first morning after we used it, I woke up with some stiffness and back pain and immediately thought that it'd be gone by the end of the week. Well, it's the end of the week and we love this mattress. While I still think the top layer is too soft for my liking when I am awake reading or whatever, it seems to be just fine when I am sleeping. When you get into bed, you sink, not into the mattress, but into the top layer a little more than I like. But that hasn't stopped me from sleeping well. The bed does not sleep hot as I was concerned about. And the edges hold up fine to sitting on the edge of the bed. My partner has had no back pain after sleeping on it for a week. As a matter of fact, I sleep so soundly that I've slept through my alarm twice this week. Here are my notes: It came unboxed, just wrapped in plastic, which was OK for us because we have a large covered porch. There were no directions on how long to let it sit so it could "re-inflate itself". It has no odor. It took two people to move it, but it has handles so that was nice. You cannot feel the springs through the top layers, and they bounce back nicely. It does not sink when we are both in the middle of the mattress and neither one of us can feel when the other moves or gets in/out of bed. I did have to change my pillow because I sunk into the top layer far enough that my neck was at an odd angle with a very plush pillow. After a week this mattress has met all of our needs for quality sleep. We will purchase another when the time comes. ... show more

Waited a month to give an honest review Pros Affordable was the major upside to this mattress. It is super comfortable to sleep on, probably one of the better mattresses I have gotten. Does not sleep hot, true to advertisement on that one. Have not woke up in pain. Cons You feel a lot of transference if you share the bed with anyone. Sheets are a battle to keep on the mattress would highly suggest sheet suspenders. ... show more

Bought the mattress in November & by February, I was waking up with terrible hip pain. By April, I was waking up several times a night with the hip pain and my leg was numb. I thought something was terribly wrong. I bought a new mattress topper & no help. We went on vacation in June & I had no issues. Came home, bought a new mattress, & I’m sleeping wonderfully again on the new mattress. No pain, no waking up in the middle of the night. Don’t waste your money. Go for quality. ... show more

The bed is actually a few inches smaller than a normal king size mattress. We put in on your bed frame and it didn't quite fit right so we measured it and compared it to the other king and it was smaller. The bed does feel comfortable and well built.
